ummmm, brett favre #23. mcnair #32.

it boggles my mind how some people only buy into the "good" things. for example, because this guy ranks AJ so high he is definitely right about AJ. But when ESPN or someone else makes a comment saying that the fins suck and will be lucky to win 5-6 games they are completely villafied and have some kind of secret hatred to the dolphins. Their opinion can no longer but objective, because it's negative it's SUBJECTIVE!!!! The truth of the matter is the only people who believe this team will be better than 5-6 wins is living in miami. I think some of you should hop off cloud 9 for a minute and venture around the rest of the country where there is some reality and you'll see these Phins just ain't worth the hype you think they are. Lay off a little bit. Most reporters try and speak the truth.
It's called being a die hard, no holds bar fan!!!!

I tend not to believe this team is as bad as you think, this is a winning team even with some key elements missing from the starting lineup. We won 10 games last year, please show me a list of teams with double digit wins last year and how many of those teams are prdicted on a daily basis to suck like the fins are. Also the reason most fans think this team is better then they are given credit for is because we won ten games with Fiedler/Griese and probably a 28th ranked O-line! One more thing maybe this team has not made the playoffs the last couple of seasons but we were given some respect, look at the Eagles for a minuet they have had three stright NFC championship games lost the last two at home they lose maybe 5 starters for the year to injury and they still get respect in the weakest division in football. Tell me why they are thought of as a team that will contend and we are thought of as a floundering team?

I live in the Philly area and know this team very well and they are nothing speacial they have a horrible run D and lost both starting corners to FA starting two 2nd year corners....no run D and rookie corners does that sound like a good combo to you? Yet everyone is talking like they are defending SB champs..my point is you won't know till the end of the season who will be left standing and who won't so to have faith in this team is justfied from a fans standpoint lots of young talented players added it's not like we are the Colt's or Chief's that did nothing to improve a weak D or the Bucs that did nothing to improve a weak O so why don't you wait and see what happens before you jump on the I think we really suck banwaggon?

i didn't jump on the bandwagon. i was uneasy with this team before RW retired and when that happened the wheels feel off. He was the centerpiece of the team. Our offense was COMPLETELY based around him. Now that that is gone we are not in good shape. Our O-line IMHO is not better than what is was last year. However, that doesn't mean I don't feel good about it. The line is young and I think will develop into a decent one but it's not going to happen this year, at least not til later in the year.

The offseason we had was absolutlely hilarious. I mean the amount of things that went wrong that's really the only way you can describe it. Some of you don't think this is an issue but it is. It's a big issue.

The reason I don't have faith in us being a team like the pats were last year is because we simply don't have the coaching. There are some guys with decent talent who could develop into good players. (Feeley i think could be one.) However, the resume Wanny has doesn't suggest he can turn things around. He's just not that type of coach. He doesn't have the flair to turn things around. We are NOT the pats of last year. we don't have a swaggert. we are too predictable. we have an enemic offense. the defense took a pretty good hit with the loss of AO. It will be interesting to see how they are effected. Our style of pass defense is a physical type and the league adjusted the rules against that style. I doubt our CB's can simply adjust like that.

So what optimism should I have, really? We traded for a decent WR and RB but they have been with the team what, a combined month? That's not even close to the amount of time it takes to get on the same page. This team may start to put it together a little bit on offense but it won't be til later in the season when it'll be too late. We are going to rival the Bills for last place this year. Put on your hard hats and strap in cause it's going to be a bumpy ride.

You just made your own point. It's like you are stuck in a paradox. It's our right as Dolfans to think this way.

A few things to consider.

1) Billicheck was a joke the year before he won the superbowl. A lot of people did not consider him a superbowl material coach.

2) Miami had a good defense before Ogun. They will have a good defense after Ogun.

3) I don't see how Miami is too predictable on offense. Just hearing on the radio they did a lot of things that I did not expect

4) The league change has been grossly over stated. It isn't a change at all. It is an emphasis to a rule that has been there for 10 years. During the last 10 years Miami corners have played by those rules.

Why? He threw for over 300 yds. He earned whatever ranking he got.
if you throw the ball 50 + times you better have over 300 yards or sumins terribly wrong.

Vinny does real well with Parcells offense.

Vinny is a good QB this season...he smoked us plenty as a Jet.

OH, and the new emphasis on the bump rule is just to make up for a crappy ref team that allowed the Pats to mug the colt receivers in the championship game.

Or in other words You feel we should adopt whatever opinion you have because that is what you believe and you are always right, correct? Not bashing or calling you out, honestly from you or Lawrence or Fin-Atic I respect your opinions and your right to them, I am just sick of being labled as a blind homer because I look for positives, I want to see the bright side or something that gives a ray of hope and something to watch for. WHO NAME 1 THAT SAID aAJ WAS A GUARENTEE? OR WE ARE SUPER BOWL BOUND? Sorry but my opinion that we are not necessarily as bad as the media makes us out to be.

I honestly believe some pessimists really believe we should all agree with you ar we are not real fans like you. Define fan would you? What any of us say is opinion, not fact.

umm this is a fantasy ranking based on last weeks performance, its not like anyones rating him here, whats all this argueing about??

ive been on the bandwagon and im not getting off. give A J some time they will eat there words. see how he got fired up when he threw the int. he might b one of those guys who will get n your face if u screw up a route or block. what was his name(dan marino) .. yeah i think thats it lol.

The list is from a fantasy pts scoring perspective.

1. Belichek was a joke before they won. However, Belicheck has built something under his tenure, with wanny we have regressed all 3 years.

2) We had a good defense before ogun yes, but you are kidding yourself if you think its still just as good. not to mention its another year older.

3) maybe it is too early to call out the offense as predictable. but i'm not getting my hopes up.

4) you may be right, only time will tell us the truth.

look i know my views may be pessimistic to most, but a lot of people are ignoring the facts such as the horrible offseason and everything that went on. our coach has never proven to be able to turn things around at any point in this coaching career and with the amount of problems that have unfolded i can't possibly see him doing a complete 180. i want to be wrong more than anything but this just won't be our year. sorry..... :(

No one is ignoring anything. Plus one might say you are ignoring all of the positives.

Horrible offense? Maybe, but maybe not. I saw some ray of hope Sunday Second half. Aj threw well and yes made a couple bad throws but threw well mostly. We had a couple bad breaks, McMike losing control/bad call whatever you believe, but still shows potential, just short of keeping other drives alive, missed FG, offsides on teh onside, etc. Yes we looked anemic in the first half, but hardly second half. 21 for 31 168, 1 td , 1 int in a half. Project that over the game, 42 for 62 336 yds, 2 tds, 2 ints. I say take away ints but solid stats. Now I know that does not mean that is what would happen, but saying he did show potential. Another week for Gordon will only help him as well.
