AJ staring down receiver

Ok someone get me a smilie holding a sarcasm sign..... I forget how my sarcasm doesnt translate very well on the internet.

:D See, that's all it takes..

Anybody happened to notice while AJ was moving backwards how strong an arm he really has?

With the blackout in place I saw two games(I think), AJ has a much better arm then I originally thought.

i thought he got much better as the line got better...

because if you dont have time in the pocket you dont have time to look anyone off, you gotta get the ball out ASAP... or if your trying to scan the field you get your *** nailed...

I think with a better o-line and coaching staff, these problems are correctable with AJ, as most Q's

Last season and even at pro camp I noticed that Feeley stares down the receiver he is going to throw to and that has to do with his turnover problem. Yes the line and all the problems we had last year contributed enormously but i would love for him to at least get in the habit of looking off other receivers

Yea he did that a lot in the beginning. Thats partly because of inexperience, not having confidence in your system, and not having enough time in the pocket to go through your progressions.

Another year under his belt, better coaching and a more developed offense, and a better Oline blocking scheme will help that a lot.

I have plenty of doubts and concerns about AJ, but that particular trait is very coachable, and will be corrected quickly.

Its hard to not stare down your receiver when you have only 0.3 seconds before you get hit. But give him a chance. If he still does it when the season starts with an "improved" Oline, then we know he's more likely to become the next Rick Mirer, than the next good QB.

No doubt that is a concern of mine I've voiced here, the hope obviously is that it was due to the problems on this team last year and not a habit of his.

No one at this point can say for certain one way or the other, only time will tell.

I do not believe the last two games proved anything one way or the other, it may have been the pressure and he may play much better this year with a better team around him, or he may be one of those QB's that can never break that habit.
