I like the trade and LOVE the message sent...if you misread the message sent then you probably won't be here next year either...do your job...let the coaches coach....or go somewhere else...4th round pick?...i'm glad we got something for him now..I think he isn't the answer to even one of the teams issues....the coaches have to have control of the game plan and the players have to do their job...that's the way it works...don't like it?...see ya...

Yeah, except bad coaches are the only ones who have to send out their best players because they can't manage them and get the best out of them.

Okay. Pure speculation.

It's not speculating when you could see it happening on the field every time the offense got on and the receivers weren't fighting for balls that were thrown a second too late and causing them to get hit every time they tried to make a catch.

Chill out guys. Do you really think it's going to be difficult to replace 3.3 ypc?
Yeah maybe it wasn't all his fault but that oline isn't going to get any better this season or probably next so how long you gonna hold on to this guy. He'll have had double knee replacements by the time we fix this oline. I really don't see the big deal.
Who cares if teams stacked the box bc of him, we don't have a qb to take advantage of it so it's all moot! His attitude was poor and the production did not offset that negative impact so.....bye!

Sadly, Ajayi made much more sense to make an example of, if it is true that he was not only being uncooperative, but having actual temper tantrums over his stats after the team won games.
If that last part is true then we were right in moving on from him. (But a 4th rounder? whyyyyy???)

I like Adam Gase, I really do... but I don't care how good you think your system is. You need talent to win in this league. And we will definitely miss Ajayi

I am over Ajayi but its going to be weird playing Madden now...lol

I am sick of his attitude tho 2 years & we keep getting this from him.

hopefully we end up with a good RB like Kamara who got picked in the middle of round 3.

culture has nothing to do with a pathetic oline that made no holes for him or Gase not using other backs if he thought there was an issue
I'll respectfully disagree. I believe that losing becomes a culture. It affects your desire for preparation and execution. If you are already convinced that you will not win, then why put the effort in? I have no idea if the OL has these issues, if you see an uptick in the OL play, in the coming weeks, I think it is a safe assumption that there was and that this move was a much needed "motivator". I agree with you that our OL is pathetic. I also happen to feel that Walter Payton would have a hard time behind this line and no QB in the league would have sustained success behind this line. It should be the first, second, third and fourth on our priority list, to improve.

Listening to kim bokamper on wqam now...has some interesting thoughts/ info on the trade
Said Ajayi changed ..was a different person ..more of a diva in the locker room since his success last year..listen if you can... if its a podcast of the Hoch and Crowder show

Sounded like he didnt mentor the new rb's under him like Suh does those on defense ..thats what Bokamper said. And blew off people in the locker room ..again via Bokamper

I believe that. He became an NFL star last year and with that came the commercial ads, getting featured in NFL pre-draft shows, all that stuff. Some guys can handle that kind of "fame", some guys can't and instead turn into divas.

He wasn't worth more than a 4th rounder, that's why. If he was worth more than a 4th rounder, we would have been offered more.
I still find it too low, but that's probably my bias as a Dolphins fan that saw that guy make our offense special last year. In the end, we wanted to get rid of him and a 4th rounder is the most we got offered. It is what it is.

There could be more to it than that. Teams could've known Ajayi was leaving regardless so they didn't have to 'pry' them off our hands. Sorta like how everyone and their mom knew the Eagles were fire saling Chip Kelly players so they could be had for bargain bin prices. The Titans got that memo. The Dolphins did not. Pepperidge Farm Roseman remembered and took ole Tbum for a ride again.

Ajayi could very well be Channing Crowder with the knees eventually just giving up. And it could be soon. But we haven't seen it yet ... so I think we could've waited closer to playoff time when teams are in the hunt and - in their minds - a RB away from a ring. But Gase is impatient (borderline impulsive) and couldn't wait because he wanted to send a message. Worked the last time ... but those players were terrible. This was a cheap good one who needs to be replaced. Odds aren't exactly stacked in our favor here.
