Alex Mack?

Gotta agree with Iron....no way they bring him back on a 9.8 million dollar tag. That is ALOT for a center and the Browns can use that money elsewhere. I would be more than happy to bring in Mack and slide Pouncey to G.

As long as Alex Mack doesn't come out lookin' like Capri Sun, I'm down. Of course, we'd have to get him for less than a king's ransom.

I'm sure he's already on the radar.

With there being some talk about moving Pouncey to guard (I would be in favor of this), I was wondering what everyone thought about pursuing Alex Mack from Cleveland. He seems to be the best OL on the market and would allow Pouncey to move to guard where he could be very successful.

the only talk of Pouncey moving to gaurd has been here on Finheaven that I have seen. With that being said until it comes from Philbin Pouncey will remain our center.

lol, I suggested drafting a Center the year after we drafted Pouncey and moving Pouncey to Guard and got destroyed for suggesting it. As some said before he ever took a snap "he's a hall of famer, best center since Dwight Stephenson" which may have been the most ridiculous statement since Bagdad Bob said there were no American infidels in Bagdad.

I seriously doubt we add Mack. I'd imagine we will target a veteran LT in free agency and draft a young LT candidate to groom. We are more likely to start one rookie OG between Pouncey and a veteran OT and build that way.

If we did bring in Mack I suspect we would trade Pouncey.

Well he is the best center we've had since Dwight Stephenson. He's an unnatural athlete at the center position. If he had better coaching, so he didn't give away the snap every time, he'd be a surefire hall of famer if he kept this level of play up into his 30s.

Athletically he may be the best offensive lineman we've had in a while but as for playing the Center position I would argue Tim Ruddy was better.

Ruddy was legit. I hope some day all the pieces come together and give us a bunch of super bowl championships.
