Alex Marvez blasts Ross / Dolphins over Fisher decision

What a surprise, Marvez has something bad to say about the Dolphins? It's almost like he's a bitter former Dolphins beat writer who always writes negative stories about Miami because he has some axe to grind against someone, somewhere.

Oh right, that's because he is.

whether you like Ross or not, Alex Marvez is one of the worst writers there is. In all the years I've read his stuff, he's never said ONE positive thing about the FIns

It might be negative, but if it's true you can't argue it. I have read several articles from different writers who say the same thing. If Ross reallly wanted Fisher he should have agreed to Fisher's terms. I guess he didn't want him bad enough. I for one could live without Ireland because he really isn't that good. I might be the only one that feels that way, though.

Alex Marvez is a hack with an axe to grind. I am glad Ross did not give in to this tools demands, dude has done NOTHING to deserve all of this attention, and in three years when he is getting fired by the rams, we can all have a good laugh.

Alex might be a jerk but he appears to be right on here. He was right in his assessment of how Fisher coaches and would that be a fit for Miami. He is right in that by sticking with Ireland no big name will want to come here. Really - why is Jeff so highly thought of? This team has done zip under his watch. Look at his draft - where are the playmakers? A center - guy is good but 15th pick overall?? For an interior lineman on a team that needs playmakers?? And then you trade up and get a RB when you could have kept Ronnie to pair with Reggie - you could have used that pick to get a QB! Clay in the 6th may pan out but really - where are the playmakers?? So you keep this arrogant jerk over a highly respected coach that would bring back credibility to the organization?? Makes no sense and like it or not for at least this team Marvez is right on IMO.

Not a shocker. Right or wrong, Marvez looks to take pot shots at the dolphins whenever he can. He will rip on them whenever he has the chance, whether its deserved or not

yes imho we deserve every bit that we are getting , where was ross when we was lookin for a QB BK IN free agentcy ? we wait till they were all gone to make a move and now this ,imo ross should just take ireland and move his team to LA leave the dolphin name here in miami and let someone else start a team here because we dont have a team he had ruined everything he had touched right along with ireland ,this is pathetic .

I don't agree with Marez and he's not a great sports writer, but I do have an issue with Ross right now.

It was well known that Ross wanted Fisher bad and the fact he couldn't close is concerning to me.

The big names coaches don't want to work with Ireland and Ross and that says a lot right there.

That said, I still think we hire a good HC and our Phins will have a better record next year than this year.

Marvez bashed Ross just earlier this week for even looking at Fisher and called Fisher "Sparano with a mustache". Which in itself is a ridiculous statement since Sparnao has a mustache. Anyways, now he bashes Ross for not hiring Fisher? Come on now, the one that is clueless here is Marvez. My bet is he had two Ross bashing articles already written. One for if the Dolphins hired Fisher and one if they didn't.
