Alex Marvez: Don't count on Luck playing for 'train-wreck' Dolphins

Marvez has always, always struck me as a guy who couldn't wait to get out of local coverage and is bitter about having had to cover the Dolphins for the Sun Sentinel. He's been consistently and aggressively negative about the Dolphins since he went to FOX Sports.

Nobody is writing about how the Cardinals are sucking for Luck because nobody cares about them, but if you go to a Cardinals fan board right now (and I have) they're having the same conversations that we are.

Elway is openly coveting the guy. Tebow is starting. They traded away their best WR. They're flat out trying to lose games to pick up Luck. It's not in the national media because nobody outside of Colorado gives a **** about the Broncos.

you know i can see the switch by elway to tebow backfiring on him...that team was dead under orton and the pressure was getting to orton big time...now they have life with tebow and they may be able to ride that kid to a couple wins...beginning this week...and elway will be privately seething

Yeah I agree with that. He does have a lot of negative stuff to say about the Fins but then so do Omar and Armando. Not much different than this board either.

And before we get angry and Luck lets remember this is the opinion of a sportswriter and not Luck or anyone in his family. He's made no such statement but he has said the SFL is stupid.
 
Let's drop some knowledge here:

I have seen NOTHING concrete that Luck would pull an Eli Manning. Everything I have seen is pure conjecture. It's not journalism, it's junior detective BS.

Yup. Orton has his merits, but he is a choker in the clutch. I was talking with a couple of Broncos fans about him and they agreed that Orton will look like a world beater in the first half against a cupcake team, but he just doesn't get it done in crunch time.

I think Elway is going to regret starting Tebow, Brandon Lloyd or not.
 
if marvez wants to get himself more on tv and not so much radio etc he might want to start doin some damn cardio and stop workin on his man vs food face...

I think the plan by Elway is that he's hoping that Tebow falls on his face and shows all the fans that he's not the QB of the future for them...the following in Denver then wanes and he can then bring Andrew Luck in and build his franchise. He can't break from Tebow right now because the following is too strong, there would be a riot in Denver if they were to get rid of him without everyone seeing him for what he is.
 
here's another thing...yeah denver and indys schedules there aren't many wins but my god when i look at ours this weeks the only one i'd be confident we might get the w...and with the tebow change and the momentum denver is getting there and the building full of tebow fans and the place honoring the same kid in our own building we could drop this one easy...not to mention dumervil and von miller coming off the edge vs our oline...
 
Unless Tony gets fired I don't even know if this team can win a game. The second half of the Jets game was the worst football I have ever seen in my life.

Speaking of that did you catch what Marvez said Conner Barwin said...something about being sorry he can't face Marc Colombo every week...ridiculous.

i laughed my *** off when i was watching some denver game a few weeks ago and in the 2nd half the stands were just belting we want tebow...as if he's gonna be some stud difference maker...elway knows tebows not good enough either but like you said he's got no choice he's giving the people what they want...but this kids a winner and he can find a way to win a few meaningless games...i tell ya what though the way elway was standing on the sideline a couple weeks ago at stanford and looking at luck like a t bone steak the whole time there's no doubt in my mind that he will plant whatever seed he can in that kids head and do whatever possible to get in position to acquire him

yeah...but it was babin now in philly...upset cause colombo wasn't still on the cowboys to face 2 times a year
