this whole thing is getting ridiculous about all this speculation of whether luck would play for miami or not.
first of all, he has not indicated anything that would make anyone think ( as far as i have heard) that he is against playing specifically in miami.
Now, Why would he not want to play for us? aside from the fact that most people play for the team that drafts them, The miami dolphins are a very proud overall franchise, and one of the more storied ones in sports.
yes we have been extremely inept over the past decade, i get all that. However, things will change. Tony sparano, and all of the guys from parcells will prob be gone. we will prob bring in a new gm, have a new coach, and a whole new coaching staff in general.
secondly, miami has good fans. yes i know the fans have not exactly been showing up at the stadium lately, but can you blame them with the product on the field and the expense of going to a game these days? All he needs to do is look up films of miami fans back at the day of the orange bowl and see how loud we can be. miami is a great place to play.
As has been stated by myself and many other posters, what exactly would he be looking for? its not like he can be expecting to be selected first overall by a great team. The team that has that pick has it 99% of the time because they are really bad, unless that team acquired it via trade.
All in all, i just think this is unfair to luck all the possible speculation of what he may or may not do come draft day, because its making him out to be a type of guy that he may very well not be, and has not indicated he is other then the media trying to fuel it.
could he possibly not want to play specifically for any team, the dolphins in particular? Hey, its life, anything is possible. do i think its likely? NO. if we get the first pick and select him, i think he will gladly be appreciative of it, and play for our team, trying to restore greatness to this once proud franchise. We would basically give him the keys to the city if he played for us.
