We arent getting Ricky back, and I dont think Minors 1 year deal is going to keep us from getting a franchise back in the draft. Not to mention Gordons contract is up soon, I dont think this changes anything.

If the choice was between Edwards and Smith...it would EASILY be Edwards.
Edwards would actually be on the field and get playing time. Smith will do the time and ride the pine until he learns the game. Edwards equals touchdowns... Smith would be a subtraction this year (large cap dollars with no production).
Saban is a competitor. He wants to improve this team now, not just three years from now.

well no i disagree. Saban wants to rebuild the team, just like what New England did. (Rome wasnt built in a day). he wants to rebuild, get the younger players who will be good in 3-5 years from now. Here is what i think our draft will be, altho it kinda changes everyday:D :
