Alexander, Matthews cut

what i saw from restelli against the cowboys was a safety who was playin an awful lot up around the box...thus he was near the ball...i didn't see anything that says put this man on the 53...looks small for a former lb in the cfl...

and culver took a pay cut??? from what...like the $1.5 mil salary he was making before the cut??? news to me...whats his cap hit now??? watching culver he's making calls and getting people in the right position but he doesn't make any plays on his own...if its me he's one of the last on the 53 or i cut him and keep only 3 safeties with the idea reshad jones can play strong if something happened to bell...and use that extra slot on another position to keep a guy with more upside...i want the best 53 not a set # for each position...

nate ness needs to get his walking papers...he couldn't even cover the cowboys 3rd string guys

I am sure that you know that when Restelli was playing up in the box that is where he was supposed to be for that particular formation. At 6'2" according to his Dolphin bio he would seem to be exactly the right size to play safety. Likewise that size in the CFL is the perfect size to play linebacker up there. For those that don't know in Canada the playing field is 10 yards longer, the end zones 10 yards deeper, and the field is 12 yards wider. Therefore smaller and faster works in Canada. On the other hand Refrigerator Perry would have had a tough time in Canada. I always like to see the Cowboys get beaten so I watched until the end of the game. On the next to last play of the game Brandsteter threw a pass to the end zone and Restelli defended the and he can really get into the air.

And all I said earlier is that it would be a mistake for the Dolphins to not at least put him on the practice squad.

well can't say i have or ever will watch a canadian football league game so thanks for the heads up...they like smaller faster guys due to the field measurements got ya

and yes i understand why he was up in the box...he looks like a guy to me the jets would like to develop...they like white athletic safeties...they're secondarys loaded with em...

as for the ball in the corner of the endzone i wouldn't say that was anything fantastic...but to each his own i guess

As their roster currently stands, 1/16th is white. Is that considered "A Lot"?

I'm only pointing out what I saw, I am actually 100% color blind

this is a waste of time but they've got 2 white guys in their 2 deep at safety...name another team in the league that has that many??? i can't think of any...

and there's definitely a stereotype in pro football and even college i'd say that you don't want white guys in your secondary...just sayin...not sayin there are exceptions but thats just what it is...i know i'm not a big fan of white corners at the top levels...they're usually not as explosive or athletic as their african american counterparts...but i don't want to make this a race thing...so if its coming across that way thats not my intention...

and just so people don't think i'm being racist here i'm white...

If you read between the lines seems to me that Omar makes it about race -- I repeat if you read between the lines...

So you think ted ginn is better than wes welker? You also think gholston is better than clay matthews?

If your comprehend what Hoos said, you would notice he was talking about CORNERS. Now when Gholston or Ginn play CORNER, than you may have argument. BTW the last White corner I remember was Sehorn.

Obviously you are confused -- maybe you are reading too much Omar Kelly -- Restelli plays on the other side of the football. As stated in a different post he is a former CFL linebacker who is being converted to safety. Therefore he is a work in progress and last Thursday you saw during the second half of the game some of the progress. He may be released today but to not at least put him on the practice squad would be a mistake to not let him further develop on the practice squad. If the Dolphins pass on him he will show up somewhere else.

You are obviously the one that is confused. Try to understand the post.. Where i am not comparing the players by position, I am comparing the names, and what all three players have in common, obviously.. People around here were clamorous with RGM and KS while they proved nothing, same for Restrelli. I mean how good is a player that half the fanbase has never heard of.

The fanbase generally does not pay very close attention to the preseason roster and in particular the undrafted free agents. But then maybe they have a point -- none of the undrafted free agents stayed on the 53 man roster. To your point, RGM and KS proved nothing. As for Restelli, he never really had the chance to prove anything. He played little in the first three preseason games but he did have a good game against Dallas. When he did play it seemed that he was always around the ball, he did not quit on plays or take plays off, and had great athleticism. He seemed like the kind of player that had an opportunity to get better on the practice squad. On the other hand I think that we have seen the best that Culver has to offer. Also to me it seemed that both Restelli and the other safety they signed over the past 10 days (Gerald Alexander) were both used to get Tyrone Culver to renegotiate his contract. Obviously it worked, too.

PS -- On a side note, you mentioned Ryan Grice Mullen. I read that this week he was released by the Edmonton Eskimos...
