Why are u so hung up on "easy throws"?? Ive been saying the whole time who ****ing cares, he made the throws he had to to lead 3 scoring drives and getting lead...

Because it goes to your initial argument that the loss is not on Tannehill because he played well in the second half. I am disagreeing with that assessment (to a degree, I think Philbin deserves most blame, but Tannehill second most). The fact that 8 of his 11 completions were easy throws is evidence that the other players and/or the play calling were bigger factors in the offensive success of the 2nd half than Tannehill.

I will say this, I think it's absolutely fair to say we would have won the game had Tannehill played even average in the first half (though I personally felt that the first INT was more a good play by the CB rather than a bad decision, but I've heard experts argue both ways). At the same time, after the half when we needed him to step up, he delivered easy throw or not.

Only point I'm trying to make though is that the team as a whole is just too inconsistent right now. You can pick any unit on the team and say they need to play better and you wouldn't be wrong.

Ive said the whole, time he played a poor first half, the running backs did too...but based on the fact he battled back,n got us the lead witg 3 minutes left in the game he shouldnt be receiving the full blame from people. If moreno wouldve punched one , of those 3 runs in from the 3 yard line the game is tied at half time...do u blame moreno too for not punching it ino n 3 opportunities and his 10 total yards? What about miller killing a drive running backwards for 10 yards putting us in like a 3rd and 20?

Im not even blaming the running backs. Just pointing out that noone on offense played good,in that first half.

Of course I blame those players for those plays. But you keep saying "Tannehill got us the lead." You seem to want to blame the whole offense for the first half and credit only Tannehill for the second half. However, the evidence better supports the opposite contention, that Tannehill has the most blame for the offensive problems in the first half, but he does not deserve most of the credit for the offensive success in the second half.

I am not saying Tannehill deserves all blame and no credit. No single player ever deserves full blame or full credit. I have only used relative terms like most, more, or less. Tannehill deserves some credit for his few good plays in the second half, but not the easy stuff. He doesn't deserve blame for the Moreno not getting 2 yards or Miller going backwards, but he does deserve blame for all the poor plays that were entirely on him (staring down his receivers, throwing picks, inaccurate passes, etc.)

The only chance we have is if Philbin gets his nose out of our offense and lets Lazor do his job from the beginning of the game not from the 3rd QTR on.

I'm convinced that is the main reason the offense looks so different from half to half

How can you be happy about this loss? We had the game won and gave it away. With a real HC this team is 4-1. I really can't be optimistic until we have a new HC that might actually learn from a loss. I'm not sure Philbin can learn from a loss.
