Jay Fiedler would give us a better chance at winning than our other QBs. We had to cut him cause he was scheduled to make way too much, but he still would be better than these two. Say what you want about him, he won football games for us. He did better without RW, and during those 4 years that he was starting, he had a better winning pct. than most starting Qbs. He simply did what was needed to win. He played with guts and I do wish we had him starting for us.

winning percentage is a team thing, not a quarterback thing. Jay Fiedler is not good. He is about as good as Gus.

You could of waited till Finheaven Ban me to post some "back to the future" apologies for fiedler who had more than enough years to prove himself.

somone on here has a quote from ray lewis to elvis grbac in his sig. it fits perfectly here.

"you don't have to win it, just don't lose it."

I respect your opinion, but I simply do not agree. Jay had very little to do with most of those wins, and he had a lot to do with our losses - especially the key ones. I loved the guy's heart and ability to do as much as he could with his little talents, but he simply did not get it done the way a good QB should.

Not to say either of these two will be any better this year, but I can tell you - they won't be worse. We had to move on and - from a football standpoint - I'm glad the guy is long gone!

This is the man that you're telling us could win games for this team right now?? This is the man? :ears:

He had a good win % mostly because of the D-Fence that was in there prime. Feidler is on the same level as what is in Miami now.

I do agree that JF is better than what we have now, however for the big picture, he's not a long term answer. If JF had a complete team around him, than I think we could have gone futher. Trent Dilfer had a complete team and just enough help to win the Super Bowl. Is TD a better QB than JF? I don't know. Remeber, that the Ravens went for 2-3-4 games with scoring a TD, but still went on to win the Super Bowl that year. Right now, I don't think we have any QB that can be any worse or better than JF. Jay did win in ways that Dan Marino didn't........Raiders for example when he ran for the game winning points at the end. People will say that DM would have never been in that spot, but who knows.

Jay Fiedler sucked, we won football games because of our defense, and I'm very glad he is a New York Jet.

And thats about all I have to say about that.

 Jay had 8 Pro Bowlers, the leagues leading rusher and the leagues leading sacker, the NFL's 3rd ranked defense and he couldn't get us into the playoffs.

Please enough with the Fiedler garbage, this team is headed finally in the right direction, and part of that was getting rid of noodlearm.
