Am I the only one that really likes B.J Cunningham?

Lots of competition. Time to grow up Wallace , Moore , Gates. Throw them all out there with the new guys and may the best men win. I think Clay and the new TE are going to kill it in this offence and Bush should have a field day. Should be fun guys.

Pro Football draft had him ranked @24. They had a very favorable write up of him.

They have him as a solid #2 wr after he develops a little more. Wallace is the guy to keep your eyes on.

This was probably my favorite pick, although I think all of our picks were real solid but to get a guy like Cunningham in the 6th is a steal. My dad grew up in Michigan so we follow the Spartans & Wolverines but are Canes fans, but to see what Cousins & Cumningham were able to do to be key factors in turing around that program was incredible. I was really surprised that he wasn't being discussed really at all especially after the #'s he put up but it worked out for the Fins.

i think wallace and moores days are numbered. I think it will be hartline bess gates cunningham and fuller making the team

I love this pick too. He really caught my eye in the Big 10 championship game last year. He catches everything.

His highlights from his years at MSU impressed me. Obviously the success you have in college doesn't always translate into the NFL but it's good to see he has ability.

I don't know, guys. I am in Big Ten country and watch them all, keep up with Big Ten Network etc. I can't say I am impressed with Cunningham, Keshawn Martin, Posey, Toon, Moye, or McNutt. They all seem like "just guys" to me. All of them. AJ Jenkins at least has some get up and go to him, but Jenkins doesn't seem like he is a complete player. He could end up proving to be a reach.

I hope I am wrong about Cunningham but I am really down on most of the skill position talent in the B1G.

People say that you can always find a receiver. I also heard there were a high number of draftable receivers. That is all misleading. There are GOBS of these receivers that don't distinguish themselves from the others. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. They get stats because they start. MSU threw a fair amount, so he had some catches (much like in basketball, someone scores 20 ppg on a bad team too, call it the Shareef Abdur Rahim syndrome). But that's not the point. We don't want just another guy. We need guys that make a difference. I don't see Cunningham as making any kind of difference. Maybe he can be a 4th receiver but you'd like someone more electric or bigger there. I hope I am wrong.

Do you want to know who else loves this kid? The entire state of Michigan. He is a legend over there and are pissed that the Lions didn't grab him.

Cunningham from what I've read is very good at the slant route, which is something the WCO features. Cunningham was said to have good hands and was a fit for what Miami is going to do on offense under Sherman. Matthews was compared to James Jones by Philbin, so you figured they had their eyes on him. From what I've read about Matthews, he was also a good fit for the WCO. Both players may not run a 4.4, but are strong handed and are good going over the middle. The dark horse in all this could be Jeff Fuller, who was Tannehill's teammate at A&M. Fuller was hurt most of the year in 2011 and it affected his play, but in 2010 when Fuller was healthier, he played so much better and was considered a 3rd-4th round WR prospect. Fuller's advantage is his knowledge of the system and both Sherman and Tannehill. Given all that Fuller has, it wouldn't surprise me if he indeed makes the team. IF he is healthy; he can be a weapon in this offense.

Youll be pleased to know that Matthews does run a 4.4. I'm going to defer on Bj, but in the clips I saw he had a lot of Hartline about him. Is that good or bad? Good for a late rounder, I guess.

I like him as a pick and the UDFA's we got. The more competition, the better. I'm getting a little tired of waiting for some of these "project WR's" to start producing something. I think there will be a very short tolerance for anyone not producing at a high level in TC. I'd be very nervous if I were a Miami WR not with the name of Bess.

i was thinking the same as well.that is a lot of slot wr though.
