am i the only one who really didn't want seau another year?

So far he seems like he's lost a step even from last season, but maybe he'll look a little better the more we see him. He's great for helping the other LB's, and personally I like seeing him out there. He's got a lot of heart and it shows. We need him for that extra energy. Hopefully Crowder will split some time with him, because he's looking great.

i just feel like his experience is great, but finding a spot for him is a problem to me, we have a lot of good young talent and to have to get rid of a pope or a glenn or eddie moore so we can keep him around one more year sucks to me...

so do i, i like the guy, i thnk hes got some stuff left in him and hes a future HOF canidate easily and its cool to say we had him for three seasons

to me thats a huge loss, when the guys healthy i think hes a real quality player... just cause he was from the previous regime doesn't mean hes horrible... obviously hes got an injury concern, but id rather have his injury concern than seaus...

Only thing that bothers me about Seau is his blitzing usually gets nowhere and he misses ALOT of tackles. Im not opposed to him being here and starting this year however.

i think you are mistaken. He led the team last year, or was up there, in tackles for a loss of yards, and he missed a number of games....

i mean i know he brings experience and leadership and teaching, blah blah... but we got that in zach already, and i really feel like him just getting a roster spot sucks because msot likely he'll be hurt for 50% of the season and really channing or eddie moore or pope or glenn could be starting at that LB spot and developing...

really id wanna see, spragen zach and channing as the starting LB core, with a 3-4 set of, taylor/bowns, zach, channing, spragen... that would be ideal, and would be a good thing for channing not only for his development but hes been playing real well anyway, now we'll have old man seau whos lost a mighty big step trying to keep up in there... i dont know i just wanted him to not resign during the offseason...

am i the only one?

I do want Seau back . Because the young guys are still learning and Seau still had alot of tackles. Even when hurt part of the year. Plus in a new defensive scheme we are going to need experience like his.

by the way I liked the Qb race thing that was cute.

He gives valuable depth and experience. So wanted to see him come back. But no doubt its time for young talent to take over the starting role. And Crowder looks like a money player.

agreed. He had 57 tackles last season and played only 8 games so he would have had 100+ going by the tackles to games ratio. He can still perform so im glad weve still got him this season.

but he's never healthy

I'm glad Seau is here for another year. His leadership will be invaluable to the progress of our younger LB's. Even if his on field production isn't stellar having him here will lift the play of the rest of the guys. Also, I believe (barring injury) you will see a decent year out of him in this new defensive system. I hope he stays with Miami next year as a coach!!
