I hate this coaching staff so much that I wouldn't mind seeing Miami lose the rest of their games just so that they'll be fired. This team should be getting better with added talent and another year of Philbin's "system", but instead they're getting worse.
 
The issue of playoffs is more sad than amazing. This could have been a great year to not only make the playoffs but win our division. Pretty much only Denver and KC are legit in the AFC. This year is probably the easiest in a long time to make the postseason yet we can't even do that. Sad really.
 
We don't deserve the playoffs. Losing to a WINLESS team and we are talking playoffs?

The Ravens or Chargers will get that last spot.
 
The dolphins have won the last 6 vs san diego in miami. Last time the chargers won in Miami was 1982.

I think the dolphins win this sunday. I have no problem with people talking about playoffs during the NFL season. I always hold out hope every year until we are mathematically eliminated. Football season is short , enjoy it as much as you can. I would much rather discuss playoffs in November rather than the draft, GM and head coaching changes. Because the latter is a moot point until the season is over. But hey it's a forum, go ahead and smack on people for trying to enjoy their football season.

Nope. Sorry. But you can. There are some coming changes to the oline..moag likely wont make a difference but who knows. I think that right there decides what we do this season.

Well the chargers d line is prolly the worst we've faced so far although our O line is pathetic so u never know how that situation will work out. Chargers defense is kinda ****ty I think we need to utilize Wallace but we prob won't cuz Sherman has downs lol but we'll see it seems like the phins win just enough to make them 7-9 or 8-8 just when u expect them to loose they will win and then loose horribly the next week when u expect them to play better that is the fins for ya
 
The 2011 Giants lost 4 straight and 5 out of 6 in mid season. The biggest being a 23-10 loss at home to a terrible Redskins team. That team went on to win the Super Bowl. Certainly not saying we are a Super Bowl team, but the season is a marathon not a sprint and we can very well make a run for the final Wildcard.

This is why I really hate this coaching staff. This was the year for Miami to win the division. Early in the season the Jets were imploding, the Pats were looking vulnerable, Buffalo had a new HC and a rookie QB, and Miami was sitting at 3-0 tied with NE. So, what happened? NE started playing better, Buffalo played everyone tough and won a few, the Jets started making noise and winning (although they also lost big, too), but Miami completely fell apart. Every other team in the division overcame a shaky start and improved except for Miami. There is no way that this staff should be here next year.
 
I agree you guys are right there but it doesn't feel like things are going to get better. I remember after we lost the fake spike game in 1994 we were still in playoff position if the season ended- we wound up not winning another game. I'm not saying you will go winless but losing to TB after all the controversy wasn't a good sign.
 
To all of you naysayers, has the Fat Lady sung yet? Didn't think so..........
 
I remember in 1986 when Jets showed up on Monday night with 10-1 record...we hammered the hell out of them and they never won another game that season....luckily I had taped it...

Good point, I had a brain fart.

I don't think 9-7 makes it though. I think we would end up losing a tie-breaker at 9-7 to either Baltimore or San Diego.

After thinking about it some more, 10-6 would probably do it for us, but can we essentially win out the season?
