An Excellent Article that Gives Insight Into Tanneyhills Troubles and D's Problems

Career stats of Henne and Tannehenne are pretty in line.

Ryan has a slightly higher rating.

Henne has better completion percentage, and more yards per completion....

look at henne and tannehills red zone td efficiency numbers and tell me they are pretty similar...

I've been saying that about him every since he has played QB for the Dolphins.

I think it's entirely possible that Miller was supposed to be the hot read there but instead of turning and showing his number to Tannehill, he got excited with the open grass in front of him and didn't turn all the way around which makes it appear like he was running a seam route. I wouldn't put that past Miller.

Still doesn't change the fact that Hartline was running a quick slant and should have caught the ball. At the NFL level, both of those players were open.

Nice...coming in hot and heavy...that one made me laugh out loud

well if he didnt try and bust by rump on stuff all the time i'd come in a lot easier...but it's obvious he's lost...and from the stuff i'm reading on the play he's far from alone

what in haitis makes him think hartlines running a double move on that anyways...the corner is grabbing hinm around the shoulders after the ball goes thru his hands thus he ends up landing how he did...there's no double move there at all...what would it be anyways a slant and go on a freaking inside blitz with a free top side edge rush olb??? the hell it would

Here's another article, this one discussing the four sacks the QB took on Sunday:

Thought you guys might like an outsider's perspective. He flatly blames Tannehill for one sack (I agree with him that one was on the QB) but argues that the others were a combination of things.

interesting read...2nd sack i put on the qb for just standing back there too long...he felt it last second but should have bugged out prior...if all those routes are long developing vertical ones they are carrying the coverage also...instincts would say step forward sooner and take off if you have a clean lane...he was just a nanosecond late to realize it...the 4th sack i put on the qb also has to know 3rd and 1 cant take that sack...the 3rd sack he did a nice job to get back close to the los by stepping up before taking it...first sack he climbs forward but that's all about dallas thomas getting smoked by alvin bailey if i recall...thomas was horrible

that said i don't know why people say he doesnt go thru his progressions...i dont see that at all...he goes with an earlier read if he has it and maybe some times should continue down the progression but its hard to fault a guy 3 games into a new offense for not taking a bird in hand when he's got it...especially one unlike anything he's ever run before

and if pre-snap T'Hill recognizes that blitz, a quick change of Hartline's route to go outside instead of a slant would have drawn the remaining safety toward Hartline's side of the field, thus emptying the middle even more, and then the simple toss to Lamar would have been for 6.

Sparano being known as the fist pumper is a direct result of Henne's inability to convert TDs once gaining the red zone.

He goes through them and a part of the problem is he may go to fast at times. That could be attributed to a lack of confidence in the OL.
