i like our oline, carey will become a solid starter, he was great at UM. we signed mcdougal and james last year, i liek mckinney and hadnot. h houck will modl them in to a formidable unit. you will see. with those weapons, wed be nasty.

JJ Arrington will be available at #46, or Frank Gore later. I don't want Edge and his huge contract and bad knee. Lets get a young guy and throw him in there with Gordon and Morris. Linehan has proved he doesn't need a stud RB, a 3 headed attack could be very potent in his offense. Edge is only 25-26 but he is very game worn. Bad knee and RB's don't last much past 30 anyways.

why get a guy with a bad knee when u can get a guy younger and may be just as good as edge in either the 1st or 3nd rd?

Now wait a minute. We just took Carl Peterson and Dick Vermeil and hogtied them and built a roaring fire under their feet and threw gasoline in the fire and subjected them to the pains of near-death to get them to take Surtain who is 28 (older than Edgerrin or Shawn) AND has bad knees, all so we could get a 2nd round draft pick. And you guys balk at a 25 year old and think we would be taken advantage of?

Im by no means an expert but now that we have our no. 2 rd pick again why not do the following....

1. Trade our 2nd rd pick to the colts for edge (they said they'd take a 2nd rd for him)

2. Use our 1st rd pick on preferably a qb if not braylon edwards.

I realize edge is old but it seems to me he'd be a better investment than anything else available in rd 2.

Your opinions?

We didn't free up that much cap space. Can't afford Edge/Shaun and all our draft picks!!

yeah, and a bad knee? come on! he was 100% all year last year. woudl u shun randy moss b/c he got hurt? or owens b/c he got hurt? you guys are terrible with this bad knee old edge stuff. edge is the man.
