Where's the WR?????? I like this pick as a receiving TE. That gives us Fasano, Clay, and Egnew. Good group. But we have no speed on the outside unless Gates steps up big time.
Good pick, but I am surprised they went with a tight end over a WR. Not a head scratching pick from a value or need perspective, but a little weird that no WR in the first three rounds.

Egnew has long stride speed and can create after the catch. He's a very good route runner for his position and will work defenders ragged with nice cuts inside and outside. Egnew's blocking is very limited and it'll take time for him to grow as a well-rounded tight end. For now, he's a wide receiver in a tight end's body.
