Annual Sunday Ticket Thread

15,000–20,000 Channels: Claims of such high channel counts are associated with IPTV services, which are unreliable, low-quality, and most likely not legal.

Local Channels Nationwide: No legitimate service provides local channels from across the country due to broadcast rights and technical limitations.

Watching All Dolphins Games for $40/Month: Watching all Miami Dolphins games (in-market and out-of-market) requires multiple services when accomplished legally (e.g., Sling TV, Paramount+, Amazon Prime, NFL Sunday Ticket), costing a lot more than $40/month. An IPTV service at this price may offer some games but is unlikely to provide consistent, legal access to all games due to NFL blackout policies

You start searching for illegal services, you're going to find them and hopefully get caught doing so...
Agree with all the above but I wouldn't hope anyone gets caught if they choose to sail the seas. It's their choice to deal with the unreliable streams. I choose to pay it to simply because I want to just tune in and have it work without jumping through hoops and they let my father piggyback off my plan since YTTV allows you use the service outside your home as long as you have the 4K plan. Dad only lives 10 miles away from me and is on a fixed income so it is helpful for him.

Your legal plan allows for your Dad to watch it. DirecTV Stream allows 20 devices on the same IP and three devices off IP, all legal.

Illegal streaming raises the cost for everyone that wants to do things legally, that's why I hope people doing it get caught, along with shoplifters, pirated movies, etc etc...

There are a lot of websites that offer about 15000 to 20000 tv channels at a low price. This includes a whole lot of local channels from places across the country. I refuse to pay Sunday Ticket or even cable tv rates when I can watch over 18000 channels on my current plan for $40 per month and watch any game I want to, while also having more channels than my local cable or directv offers.

I stream because I have to and it costs less than a cable subscription. Worst thing to ever happen to tv. I want old, cheap cable back. Much more reliable. When DirecTV had the Sunday ticket, you could jump between games instantly. Try that with streaming. I would use DirecTV for 6 months a year with Sunday Ticket, then suspend the service and use Spectrum cable the other 6 mo's. When Sept. rolled around, I would suspend Spectrum and turn DirecTV back on. Must have been lots of people doing this because the last year I did it, DirecTV wanted to charge me $7/mo. while the service was suspended. I negotiated out of that charge.
For me, I did not want to pay $200+/mo. for TV, so I did it this way. Now with streaming, I pay lots less, but you get more problems watching TV than you did years ago. Progress, right? No, just a way for the good ole' US corporations to get more $ out of us with less $ invested.

The good old days of calling the cable company every September and threatening to change providers….. Sunday Ticket and NBA League Pass offered for free lol

Active military and veterans can get the standalone Ticket for $199

Insane for 3 months of games but they can’t play local and now so many other games are streaming on other platforms.
Yeah, I'm done with paying for the ticket in the current format. I couldn't watch the LV and SF games, because they're local, and I can't even get local channels without a pay service, because of all the Redwoods around me. Then I had to pay for a month of Prime for a game, Pea**** for a game, etc. Then there are the games on ESPN; I didn't want to give Disney any money, but I paid for a month of ESPN+, and the game wasn't even on there.

I'm old enough that I just hate the hassle of dealing with annoyances. I just keep getting the auto renewal every year. I then watch on Sunday with four big screens playing RedZone on one, and various games on the others.

Keeping life simple in retirement is my goal, but tv execs love people like me. Bend over and cough.

Mine was set to renew at $449 (I don't have yttv) so I cancelled it.

We'll see if they offer a better deal or I may go back to NFL+ premium if that is available this season with the potential espn buyout.
