Another Found Wrestler Dead at Age 42

Oh I totally agree with this post. But I have to give the WWE some credit because it appears they're trying to fix the problem with their new drug policy.

Perhaps. Also, never underestimate the power of the almighty dollar. Do you think this goes into effect if they weren't a publicly traded company? I doubt it. McMahon has investors to answer to now, and when they ask questions and demand answers, he better make sure he has them.

Furthermore, the policy is flawed majorly. The simple fact that some wrestlers are still allowed to juice is just terrible. Basically, they all took a baseline test to establish what each wrestler was taking/not taking. No one got in trouble and no one was told to stop cold turkey. They were told that future tests needed to indicate that their levels were going down. Well, that essentially means that they can ween themselves off the stuff, while still being able to use good amounts of it for a good long while.

I should also point out that HGH (Human Growth Hormone) is widely used instead of steroids (in both wrestling and other sports) and no accurate test has been developed yet. HGH is what killed Pillman essentially and has been linked to the deaths of many others including Rick Rude.

On top of all of that, the WWE had a steroid policy before that was supposedly more strict than the Olympics. After about a year, at most, the policy went away.

it's actually a load of crock. Lance Storm has said he's read over it, and it's a very leanant policy. The only way you'll get suspended is if it becomes clear it is detrimental to your health. Test just recently got suspended, and it was reported everybody was shocked it took this long since h failed the steroid test 5 TIMES since returning over the summer. The reason they recently suspended him though was because a doctor said his intestines had swollen to a rediculously large size that if they didn't get it in check right away, he could die.

Again I agree with you. I was actually going to write in my last post: "Of course if Triple H, HBK, Taker or Cena tested positive for riods I'm sure it would be kept under the table". Yes it has its flaws but at least they're "trying" to do the right thing, I mean if even it saves just Chris Masters life from a young death it will be worth it.

From all reports, Masters got suspended due to painkillers, but decided to stop taking steroids after he started rehab

Chris Jericho mentioned a steroid policy in WCW, but he said it was a huge scam. He said he got suspended because he tested positive for afedra, and among the other guys that tested positive and were suspended for La Parka,El Dandy,Prince Iukea, and Lenny Lane while Luger and Savage continously got off.

If he hanged himself its tough to pin this on wrestling. Anyone in any walk of life can hang themself.

No one is really pinning this one on wrestling. We were talking about what is usually the reason for young deaths in wrestling. As of now, Mike's seems to be a suicide.
