For the record, I have no interest in bringing him to Miami... Just thought I would post it...

RUMORS FLY OF VICKLESS FALCONS
One of the biggest rumors making the rounds in Indianapolis on the first day of the scouting combine is that quarterback Mike Vick wants out of Atlanta.
Though there's no specific information to prompt a conclusion that Vick has taken steps to engineer an exit from the team, his repeated criticism of the coaching staff since the end of the 2005 season has fueled speculation that a divorce could be coming.
Most recently, Vick took aim at Falcons offensive coordinator Greg Knapp, saying that Knapp "needs to know exactly what type of talent he's working with. . . . You've got to be creative. There's no reason I should be passing for only 2,300 yards for the season. My passing attempts per game are not even that high. I hope it's not that they don't believe in me, because I believe in me." (Knapp, by the way, attempted to downplay Vick's comments.)
Earlier this month, Vick said that he's "a little lost" in the Falcons' version of the West Coast offense. "We're not dinking and dunking the way it's supposed to be done" he said. "It may be hurting me. It may be hurting the offense."
The talk in Indy is that Vick might refuse to restructure his contract, in the hopes that the team will trade him. Adam Schefter of The NFL Network reports that talks aimed at reducing Vick's 2006 cap number have occurred.
The root of the problem appears to be Vick's relationship with coach Jim Mora. The perception in some circles is that Vick "hates" Mora.
Indeed, we raised the question of whether Mora and Vick can coexist on December 26, based on their respective comments following a Falcons' loss to the Bucs on Christmas Eve after a chip-shot field goal was blocked in overtime.
Said Vick of the blown opportunity to win the game: "It kind of put everything in perspective, like maybe this just ain't our year."
Said Mora when asked whether the blocked field goal made him conclude that "it just wasn't meant to be": "That's a loser's attitude, and I would like to think we don't have a whole lot of losers in the locker room . . . . People like that don't accomplish much in life."
Apart from the huge cap hit that the Falcons would take by moving Vick now, they'd have trouble finding someone to give up significant value for him. As we hear it, a lot of teams regard him as a pain in the *** -- and as a guy who will only be successful if an offense is specifically designed to enhance his strengths, and to conceal his weaknesses.

ABSOLTELY not. he will NEVER develop into a pocket passer and our recieving talent would die. he is not refining the position, he is just sucking at it. he was one of the lowest rated quarterbacks this year. plus he injures himself all the time.

I would take gus over vick, because i trust his throwing capability so much more.

if we need someone to pound the rock we have ronnie brown.

Please no Vick. Certainly not for the money hell comand.

id take him...but not over brees.....it would be real fun to watch him tho..but i dont think him and the fins would fit....

We are looking for a franchise quarterback, a guy who could play at a high level for many years to come. This guy is not Mickael Vick. Sure, you may see Vick on the highlight reels alot but if you watch the games and see how he manages a game; as a passer he is pathetic at best. As far as I am concerned, he is not an NFL quarterback.

you guys say what you want about Vick...but he will develop into a very solid passing QB in the NFL.

:yeahthat:

We can argue whether he really is a good QB or not all day... .the bottom line is he is no match whatsoever for our system, or really any system we would implement...

i think vick could be successful at another position, maybe a slot reciever or something....... at least better there than a QB

Dude get out of here.. Vick is one of the worst Quarterbacks in the league, so what he can run he is a TERRIBLE passer He has been in the league for 5 years and is gonna be 27 next season.. when exactly do you expect him to develop into anything especially since he was a #1 overall pick.. I dont see it happening

May I ask when that might be, Creskin? The same time Joey Harrington realizes his potential and takes the Lions to the Super Bowl? The guy has had 4 years to grow into an effective passer in the league, and he hasn't. If anything, he has regressed. I really don't think Vick is ever going to be much more, if more at all, then what he is right now- an unbelievably gifted athlete who can make some insane, dazzling plays and win some games with his feet, but cannot throw the ball consistently enough to ever be considered a top tier quarterback.
