I just don't see it. I mean, with Stephen Ross you never know, but I just don't see it happening. It is only going to get worse from here as more info comes out. Philbin clearly can't control his locker room, and Ireland brought Incognito in. IMO - Ross is going to do whatever he has to to get a coach who the entire football community respects - Gruden, Cowher, etc, even if that means giving him complete control.

Thoughts?

If Philbin knew about the voicemails and texts in April, zero chance.

If Philbin just found out about the severity of the situation, maybe.

Right now I would put the odds of them surviving at about 20%...

A lot of it depends on how the team performs during the rest of the season though. If they go 8-8, they are goners. I think Ireland is out regardless at this point. He has brought nothing but embarrassment to this team since Ross bought the Dolphins.

With the Phins, the most unthinkable is possible. The most unthinkable is that the FO keeps rolling.

I hope those guys stay onboard, best coaches we finz fanz have had in years.

The Broncos head coach had to leave for a heart valve replacement. Yes, I believe Philbin and Ireland need to be canned ASAP. Sherman...maybe him too. Get Cowher or Gruden over here ASAP, you know for a fact that Cowher wouldn't put up with this crap.

Zero.

Enough is enough

Give these guys another chance and they'll give you another opportunity to embarrass you.

Both coming back. This is being blown up in the media (sadly we finally get press) but inside the NFL circle this is prob very common. I have no doubt that Philbin addressed this to Martin and prob Cog at the time.

Probably not. Ross will probably need a franchise image cleansing which makes it hard to keep either. Unless this team makes the playoffs which would just cloud the picture even more.

Sounds like we need to find out more information.

Philbin is known for not putting up with conduct detrimental to this team. As soon as the racial voicemails are heard, bam, suspension. Philbin will be fine. You guys are too reactionary.

It all depends on who knew what and when. If it comes out that Philbin knew and did nothing IMO he should be fired right away. If Martin actually told coaches and they didn't report it to Philbin then those coaches should be fired. Then my next question is if Philbin didn't know, why didn't he?

I wasn't quite ready to throw Philbin out after the losing streak, but depending on what information comes out he will be on the hot seat at the very least.

Ireland? I dunno if this incident will be THE reason he gets fired, but he could be a casualty as well

If the case, and Ross doesnt fire him, I would think Goddell would fire him. This hostile work environment is no laughing matter. It is under the sexual harrassment law umbrella.

We can hope, but this organization doesn't have a very good track record for doing the right thing or the smart thing.
