Any Lobato love?

If there is one indicator that preseason games give about a team almost every year, it is the quality of the backup QB'ing. The teams with good preseason records are ALWAYS going to be the teams who have capable QB down to 4th string. We have Moore AND Devlin who both do a good job in August. Friday night with those guys out, I fully expected to lose and to flounder around on offense. lobato played better than expected which isn't saying much.

He didn't look scared, that was about it. It was a hard game to watch, like watching paint dry. His ball location on several throws was horrible. His deep throws looked like he was shotputting it and wasn't even close.

I've seen worse but the kid won't be threatening anyone's roster spot.

Demi looked OK given the circumstances. Nothing stood out to me.

Considering that Lobato was signed only 10 days prior to the game, I thought he did ok. I dont see any long term potential, but they guy did ok for only being in the offense for 6 practices.

Are you kidding??! Lobato is a robot. He can't step into his throws and has a lacksadaisical throwing motion. He is camp fodder. Period.

Considering that he was thrown into the fire as an 11th hour fill-in signing with likely little QB coaching ( and anyway, it's Zach ****ing Taylor regardless!) or reps, IMO it's probably unfair to indict him at this point.

It is not like he has had a lot of reps. Considering the fact i had to look up who he was during the game, i think he did OK.

For a guy that was an undrafted rookie that had barely been with the team a week he played pretty well. Not agood prospect but I doubt many in same position would have done better

I thought the undrafted free agent looked quite poised for his first (and maybe only) NFL playing experience. He is a tall guy, didn’t look like a deer in the head lights rookie. I think he got really lucky to have Moore and Devlin both needing a rest or he may have never been seen in a game. I enjoyed watching him pop his cheerio. You never know with a fourth stringer what might happen when the lights are on. Sometimes they never even get the chance.
