Anybody Notice the back up for BATCH!!

I know he was talked about on this board several times and I watched a little of his college play. Anybody know what kind of Preseason Omar Jacobs had? That's who will come in if Batch goes down. Comments?, Concerns?, I, myself think it will not be a problem, but I would welcome any input as to what fellow fin fans think.

comments: I believe you're wrong. Pit. activated St. Piere from the practice squad today to be teh 3rde QB for hte game.

End result may be the same if they have to go to thier 3rd....meaning thye become even more of a one dementional offense.
 
Sorry about that guys. I checked the roster on the NFL site as well as the ESPN site. They are probably just late with the news. I remember a long time ago that after 3 QB's got killed the Raiders brought in the punter RAY GUY at QB. Looks like the steelers may miss Randell EL more than they thought although Big Ben won't be out that long. Here's to a good Game and a Dolphin Victory!!!!!!!!!! Go PHINS!!!!:o

I read that JAcobs was released, then added to the PS after clearing the waiver wirek, and that they had also added St. Pierre but had not decided which one to activate until today.

If we get to Batch to the point where they need to replace him, they are going to be mailing the rest of the game in.
 
i thought jacobs had a good preseason, dont know why they would release him

oh well

I am so happy that we are deep at QB, now that I look at who the Steelers back ups are.
 
St. Pierre had been with the team in the past and probably the staff felt he was better suited to come off the bench both with his knowledge of the sytem and as a vet. I saw Jacobs in college, I am only twenty-five miles from BG, and had hoped we might draft him or add him as an UDFA. I think he has real long term potential. Very strong, great athlete, not yet a complete QB.
 
the steelers like to carry only 2 QBs on their roster, so their QB depth is never really good
 
i honestly believe that rothlisberger being out is
the worst thing that could have happened.

there defense is going to be even MORE aggresive
and the steelers as a whole will be rallying around
a hungry, "this my time to show it" qb!!

we are going to be facing a hornets nest in pitt
tonight.

You are deep at QB? You have a starter w/ major question marks, a backup who was atrocious as a starter and a promising young #3 who has never proven anything.
 
I can step in something that has more depth than your QB's Jets fan.....wanna do a quick comparison?

it's not about us and ys I think we have more depth. Chad(when halthy and he is right now) is better than daunte, Ramsey and Harrington are a wash and Clemens has more potential than Lemon.
