I've seen both. When Ricky is uniform, no one can question his commitment. The guy is one of the hardest workers in the league. He will be reinstated and then his career will fade off into the sunset- whether it be here or somewhere else. It’s a shame he had all the talent in the world with absolutely no passion for the game. After getting caught the first time a man with passion would have prioritized his life. We all saw where he put football as he committed the same offenses two more times. We also found out the real reason he quit- he was worked too hard.
So many times I hear a player say I would like the ball on every play. That is not Williams and that is why I believe he is in the twilight of his career. A running back at 30 is a running back ready to retire- the running backs that make it past 30 are running backs with passion. I have yet to see passion from him- only talent.
Ricky doesn't have a 'passion' problem. There are a lot of other factors at play.
You criticise him for prioritizing things in his life, which is exactly what I think he has done.
