Anyone else hear Rob Konrad on Paul and Young Ron this morning?

I'm speaking as a former player who would not accept a quitter back into the locker room, especially one that is a complete flake like Ricky, no matter what he can bring. I'm not sure there is much he can bring considering he's 195 lbs right now.

And I am speaking as a former player, who was a goalkeeper and leader of a team, that a person in his situation I would welcome back if it meant we would get over that hump. Now if a guy went and killed someone, raped, beat/molested a kid, etc. Hell no. But a fellow teammate who lost the love for a bit, liked to smoke the weed, and hated our coach who we all knew was a bit fruity, sure.

Who thinks RW is still going to be 195lbs at Training camp???

Come on KB21, you are a better member than this hateful despise you have for RW. Take some deep breaths and at least let the guy get to camp and see how he acts.

It is still May , with at least a 4 game suspension....that brings us to at least October. He can EASILY add 20 plus pounds of football muscle by then....EASILY . That is the least of the worries.

KB I have heard you state your point before and fair enough . The difference is it is not the players that have to accept him back , it is Nick Saban. Believe it.

This team will follow Nick Saban , and that is how it should be , and if per chance his comeback negatively affects team chemistry , then it is dealt with.

Again risk / reward.... that is my business and have been very very sucesful with it. I also played low level professionally in both hockey and baseball , so I know about being on teams.

This is a business , not a high school team or competitive recreational situation. Bottom line , only Nick Saban's opinion counts and we have seen where that is. The players WILL follow his lead. Does he have worth to the team or potential worth? Saban has already stated yes...an emphatic yes.

Big upside potentially and very very little downside.

There is also the so far unmentioned benefit of seeing Saban resurrect someone's career and life. You know a lot more about Nick Saban than I , but I have to think that has to be a positive when other players look at this situation.

Nick won't put up with crap , so he won't cater to Ricky . I don't think Ricky wants that , I think he wants a firm hand and someone he can believe in , and I think that is happening , if not fully , then certainly about to be.

I looked back 4 pages and there wasn't a topic on it, if their was then lock it. I realize he isn't on the team anymore or anything, but still kind of interesting.

He talked about how the relations he had with Saban made him think that Saban would not like to have Ricky on the Dolphins at all, but instead is just gaining him and hyping him up to trade him for any kind of value, on a small contract, most preferabbly a draft pick, late one probably.

He also hinted at saying he had not talked to Ricky in 9 months, and that most people in the lockerroom and him wouldn't want to welcome him back so easily.

yup, thats about it

Yeah, well I think that Konrad left with a bitter taste in his mouth after he got the boot. Since he left, this isn't the first time that he has made questionable comments about the Phins players and staff. As I said, I think that this is just a bitter Konrad trying to stir up some crap.

Yes, I would like a grain of salt with my Konrad smack-burger please.

I completely agrre with you. Even if Konrad doesn't realize it, he clearly seems to have some kind of resentment within him.

I still think if he comes back he will either be traded this year, or just to show him off a bit and increase his value for a trade next year.

That's what I been saying all winter!!!!! Bring his appeal to other teams up so we can trade him for a pick.

Never thought of that. True, Konrad could just be pouting.

I gotta agree with KB, I find it so hard for everyone to want to cooperate with him.
