Anyone else worry we still only have 2 starting o-linemen?

we actually have a decent starting rotation now with brenner, garner, and potentially mckinnie at RT. hopefully we can snag one more guard and an RT in FA or the draft, but our current group is better than anything we had last year so I am optimistic.
 
Well, we haven't even reached the 48 hour mark yet, so no not worried. Two weeks from now and if they are in the same position I will be worried, but still several stop gag type linemen out there and more will be cut. I'd be shocked if Smith leaves Miami without signing so that would be three starting linemen with several options for the other two spots.
 
Considering options are dwindling, I don't care if it's only day 3, yes I am worried.

The draft is strong at corner wr and te. I would love to get the line addressed in fa so we could really attack where the draft is strong.
 
While I know we have a lot of concerns about the OL, we're not going to fix the whole thing in 2-3 days. LT's are being played out first. Guards, RT and centers will come after that. Anyone signing a guard or RT now is either grossly overpaying for them or has only that spot as a hole. People also need to realize players like Collins are not going to come here and play/get paid as a RT when they have many other chances to be a well-paid LT. We likely will sign a RT and/or guard within the next week and then draft a couple OL. We are fine and probably need to be more concerned about what we are going to do at CB, LB, RB and probably TE.
 
Not at all...there is to much time left in FA and the draft is still to come.

I expect to get a starting RT and OG I. Rounds 1 And 2 respectively.

Again, Brenner graded out (-9.5) on his play last year...............

Dud: Despite only playing 292 snaps, Sam Brenner (-9.5) looked overmatched wherever the team lined him up.

McKinnie is over the hill and slow, Garner is a backup at best.

I'm not sure how some of you delude yourself that we have starters here on this line other than Pouncey and now Albert..........??????????????

Just because I say the current group is better than last year's rotation(s) doesn't mean I'm saying they are good. I'm saying those 3 + albert and pouncey are an instant upgrade for us. Obviously no one is content with settling for those other three. Mckinnie isn't very good but he sure looked amazing when compared to Martin. And Garner proved he's a necessity on this team -- as a versatile backup. But again, it's pretty much a guarantee he'll be replaced as well.

And I don't always take PFF ratings fully into account. Brenner had a pretty solid season in my book for coming in as a rookie and holding his own.
 
I pray to God they are not counting on Dallas Thomas this year. He looked awful!!!
 
I can't believe people keep on saying not to worry cause it's "only" the 3rd day...that doesn't matter at all. Wha matters is how many linemenare still left and there and who they are. I know there're still some but most of the better ones are already gone. Are you guys looking for 4 new starters whoever they are or ae you looking for 4 new GOOD starters?

With the better ones already gone, there is no hurry just to sign what is left. Some of them may or may not fit the scheme we want to run or what the team is looking for. The Dolphins have already contacted many of them and are just awaiting a response. I know many want the offensive line fixed yesterday but I would rather the team take their time and do it right than to rush the process just to appease some jittery and impatient fans.

It's early. A lot is going to play out over the next few weeks of free agency and the draft.

That's exactly what I was thinking. We went through 2013 with just one, 2 is a huge improvement.

If that's what we have to do then we aren't going anywhere, because we should be in a position to take BPA everytime, that's how the best teams build through the draft.
