Anyone Realize John Jerry Was Not Cut?

I honestly don't get this, they can cut players like will allen who looked pretty good, but they keep this guy who reported overweight to camp, and has done nothing to show that he deserves to be on this team??? is the FO really this arrogant as to not admit a mistake in a draft pick??
 
I posted about this in the cut/released players thread. John Jerry being on this team after how he performed this preseason is a crime. I'm hoping he is just there until we can pick up another released lineman from another team, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'd love to say there is some potential there, but this is just a regime trying to save face while on shaky ground entering the season.
 
i agree, its amazing how they make a move like this (i.e. vernon carey to guard and colombo to takle) that if it is wrong they are too arrogant to change it back... colombo is going to get wrecked all season but because he is former dallas he is considered a god to Tony. heaven forbid we get someone to upgrade at the position without that person coming from dallas

Pathetic indeed...yet they cut players who work their butt off like restelli or spears.

EXACTLY, i meant to mention spears, he looked like he was catching on, making huge plays in the dallas game, he was all over the place. Honestly I'm joking when i say this, but still wouldn't be surprised to see it... But i could see tony signing Colombo to a contract extension lol its just how this front office is. I guess they see us as fans, and as fans we can't see that there a pretty bad decisions they make because we are just fans and they are the "football minds"
 
John Jerry being on the roster is a complete joke. He did nothing to warrant a roster spot and should've been the first player cut on the reduction to 53 players. Sparano has been in love with the guy since he coached him in the Senior Bowl. Having Colombo on the roster is also a joke but to have him as a starter is criminal!!!
 
Anyone think Jerry will be one of the first ones cut if we pick up someone else's cuts?
 
John Jerry is a beast, his problem is consistency....I watched him maul DL and then on the next play he whiffs.....he is worth waiting another yr for..... once he gets it he will be a stud at guard, to keep him as a back up what do we have to loose....Will Allen is not the Will Allen 3 yrs ago, let it go his knees are shot.
 
They obviously still think he has a high ceiling, and want to continue to develop him. Not a big deal.
