Anyone who is "OK" needs a shrink

This season will be remembered for over 6.5 wins.

Even more satisfying when it fell 8, and that's what the number should have been throughout. Nobody with an over ticket should have cashed on the Dolphins' season wins yet sportsbook errors allowed it to happen. The 6.5 was a gross error by Cantor Gaming. That's the untold story of Las Vegas sportsbooks, that they make major mistakes all the time. You can essentially plan your year around them. Meanwhile, outsiders want to believe they are all knowing and infallible. Sportsbook survive based on power ratings and 11/10. The power ratings are accurate enough to encourage more or less balanced action, and power ratings don't overreact, which allows the books to profit when fans do overreact. That is especially valuable in the NFL.

BTW, the Dolphins closed 7.5 point favorites today. The number shot up 2 points in a flash, from -5.5 to -7.5. There was an influential group who had a big opinion and fared well late in the season. They scoffed at some numbers and moved them all over the place. The Dolphins giving points to the Jets was one of their rare losers. They also attacked the Steelers today, playing that number from -7 up to as high as -10. It closed a consensus -9.5.

I'm happy for the Texans' late field goal to cover the +7. Wasn't a great day but that result salvaged matters.

Our stadium is a disaster. That's the inescapable attachment to every season.

Biggest losers are anyone who frequented that marathon thread mocking the New York Jets. That type of thing is destined to backfire and it couldn't have happened to a more deserving crowd. The edges are so slight in the NFL that you're talking about maybe a 4 point gap in power ratings between teams in the same tier. It was a wild stretch to pretend that the Dolphins and Jets were no longer within the same tier. nyjunc repeatedly emphasized that basic point, and it was unbelievable that he was allowed to dominate that thread so thoroughly, with posters here somehow in denial that he was trumping them at every turn.

BTW, next years Dolphin season win over under will be the same as this year, either 8 with juice on the over or 8.5 with juice on the under. That's the proper line, anyway. Nevada is always a candidate to blunder.

Amen bro.

You cant finish the season with losses to the Jests and Bills, scoring only 7 points in the 2 games combined, and needing to win just one to get in the playoffs and heads not roll.

The whole thing needs blown up.
but Jeff put a quality team out there we just need a qb
