Apparently the Fins are in trouble for not letting Hobos sleep in the stadium

What was that story about a rich man getting into heaven is like going through an eye of a needle? Some People thought Jesus was a bum too. Bottom line is sports franchises should not be taking tax payer dollars especially when cities are bankrupt. Yes some bums will never change..Then Again who is free from sin and perfect among you?

What have you ever done to help those in need? You don't have to give money you could give food, clean water, razors, shaving cream, books of scripture or motivational, clothes for an interview, some people have actually climbed out of poverty and made it maybe you can be that shinning light to cast the darkness away for a person to succeed.

It's sad that some would rather sit atop their "throne" and rant on how homeless abuse the system yet have never been in that situation. For those that believe in karma, will be a rude awakening when some of you find yourself in that situation. Don't worry, I'm sure some punk will look at you with a cardboard sign walking up and down the intersection and laugh. Then, you might realize how fortunate you are. No one is saying to donate money or help a homeless man out, but the fact that one would spend 5 minutes of their day spewing hatred for those less fortunate in this world is embarassing. To top it of, the fact that some of those spewing this hatred are administrators themselves, those assigned to represent this site, now themselves are smearing the reputation FH has.

This is beyond a Fist Pump thread or funny gif. of the week, this is reality, this is life for millions of people around the world. Stay classy.

It's sad that I'm not homeless? Well that doesn't make a lot of sense.

Please tell me JCane, what would your response be to a homeless kid? No parents, just a homeless 5 year old kid looking for some change so he might be able to feed himself and not starve to death.

Take a trip to Mexico City, it might change your outlook on life. Just a thought.

You don't need to go nearly that far.

I used to drive the 35 minutes from Tucson to Nogales. It is indeed a serious eye-opener seeing how people have to live.

Actually, for that matter, there was a huge Homeless settlement in Tucson at one time. People would refer to it as Chantyville. An entire area built out of scraps of plywood and cardboard boxes. It was suggested that a couple hundred homeless lived there at one point. Had a good friend that was a paramedic, and the stories she told me of dissentery and incredibly bad living conditions she had to endure while going there to treat people literally on their deathbed was almost too much for her.

They finally came and dozed Chantyville over. Nobody has any idea what happened to the couple of hundred homeless that were living there. Very very sad IMHO

Where are the parents? Their fault IMO. In no way can a five year-old be expected to make it on his own in this world. I think you're just making extreme hypothetical cases to defend your argument...whatever it is. A five year-old homeless child would be picked up and cared for by the state. Placed in foster care, etc. I don't need to take a trip to Mexico City to know that it sucks. I'd rather take a trip to Bora Bora and spend Christmas there or something. Maybe visit another well-developed country.

I've done well for myself because I've worked for it.

Extreme cases?

Wow, now I know why.

With all due respect, many many people that are down and out aren't there for lack of trying, nor did they ask it upon themselves. Sometimes, even if you work your a$$ off, very bad things happen.
Unemployment is hovering over 10% for a couple of years now. That means that every one in ten posters in here is unemployed. Go to some places in Cali and that number is 15%. Go to Detroit and its closer to 22%. That almost 1 out of every 4 people.......

I'm sure Burger King is hiring. Waffle House. May not be a glamorous job or even remotely close to a salary that they're used to, but it's better than asking me for a dollar and me having to waste my time telling them to get bent.

I have no idea how it is there, but I am convinced you can't hire on at McDonalds here unless you speak Spanish as a first language.

Seriously, getting a job at McDonalds or Wafflehouse isn't enough to keep people that have worked their ***** off to go to school from defaulting on their student loans. They can't go stay at their parents house, cause its been taken by the bank. The entire thing is a REALLY bad scenario, and it's getting worse and worse, not better and better.

One thing that was happening in Tucson is that the local Newspaper was paying the homeless to stand on the street corner and sell papers. Lets face it, if you have been homeless for awhile, you have ZERO resources to do simple things that you would need to do at McDonalds....like shave....or shower.....or have paper to wipe with. The opportunity of letting these people stand at the corners was helping people to get enough money to take the next step to McDonalds or whatever.

You honestly are out of touch. People don't sleep on the streets cause they are lazy or they like it.

Go get a job. Put SOME money in your pocket. You may not be able to pay all of your crazy student loans and all that but at least you have SOMETHING. I live in the South. As long as you speak redneck, you can pretty much work anywhere. You can walk into truck stops and take a **** all day. You can even shower there. Get a job, buy this book.

Considering the discussion, I attached a link from the CNN website called "Haunting Pictures of The Homeless". Most disturbing. I volunteer and try to donate money directly to food banks & homeless shelters when I can. Such a shame that many homeless are either veterans or women with children.

Just a little compassion folks...Just a little.

“The most difficult thing is hearing the stories about these people,” Jeffries says. “I may have brightened their life for an hour or two, but it’s knowing that I can’t go back and change their lives that’s hard to take.”

That guy in photo #15 looks like he has perfectly normal teeth for a homeless dude. I'm calling BS on these.

And that link was confusing. When I first opened it they made it seem like Newt Gingrich was homeless.

Unless I am missing something doesn't tax payer dollars also build homeless shelters as well?

What about the tax breaks every state gives to large corporations like Wal-Mart? Maybe all the homeless people should be given jobs at Wal-Mart as door greaters and check out folk and then Wal-Mart would be giving something back for all their tax break incentives.

Tax break?? That is such an interesting term. It means govco is stealing a little less from one corporation than they are another. Yet stealing is stealing. Lets forget the homeless getting jobs at Walmart and give them jobs at the governors mansion. Remember people there would be lots more money to go around if govco wasn't stealing one out of every three dollars that corporations create. We have the highest corporate tax is the world, and people complain about job going overseas and jobs drying up. Well of course they are going overseas, how stupid would you have to be to start a corporatioin here in the states if you didn't have to. Big business is the solution, govco is the problem. Corporations create, and bring wealth to the countries economy, big govco does the exact opposite. It is amazing how many people have been blinded to the point they can see this. No government has EVER created anything, they take away from those who do.
