The Eagles put Mathis on the trade block last year so this is hardly a surprise. Hopefully it's not catching Miami by surprise.

just speculation at this point I guess, but people linking Mathis to Miami

Last year Miami paid Colledge & Smith combined $4.8 mil to rotate at LG and suck at football. Evan Mathis is due $5.5 mil. I'll take Mathis.

mathis for 5.5 mil is a hefty price...probably could get him for a 5th round pick...of course this would obviously be a short term fill

i do buy that miamis interested though
 
Im with this depending on how much we have tot give up. Wouldn't do more than a 5th.

@NFLDraftBites I don't think the Eagles are shooting that high in compensation. Mathis 33, got hurt in 2014, due $5.5 mil.
 
I would give a 6th round for him but nothing higher then that

Mathis actually is very interesting here.... veteran experienced Guard I was looking for... good fit.

what you think we would have to trae for him... .6th??? he is almost 34 age needs to factor in
 
We're not giving up a 3rd rounder for a 33 year old G who wants more money. But Mathis is pretty awesome. I'd love to pursue him at a reasonable cost.
 
Conditional 7th in 2016, could turn into a 6th based on games played. He is 33 with a hefty contract, I'm not overpaying for him.
 
it's definitely late day 3 at 5.5 mil given his age...definitely a better option than dallas thomas...but pricey for the age cap wise
