The replacement TE's have just not been targeted much. 8 times total for both TE's. They have made a huge difference in our running game. I wouldn't call that contribution "worst in the league". (Gray has a 27 yards per catch average.)
we're fine at tight end if we can get sims/Cameron back
gray is a fine 3rd tight end/h back option
we do need something to threaten the seams vertically though...teams relying on the tight ends like crazy in the red zone...Miami doesn't have that and didn't have it even with Cameron cause he wasn't getting the job done...gray has the burst that will get peoples attention but Miami hasn't given him any route looks there yet
if we get sims back I'm fine with he and gray if that's how it shakes out
