After the last game, I still feel like someone kicked me hard in the gut. The season is over. Right now all I am thinking about is the draft. That's it. I'm not even going to see anymore football this year.

Do people actually believe we can win out?
We were eliminated a few weeks ago.. realisticallyAm i missing something? The announcer on the nfl preview said we need to win to still be in the afc wildcard hunt? what hunt? can someone explain to me how we still have a chance?
do we know something they dont?
Mathematically we are still in the the hunt, but realistically, the chances are slim.
Jets Remaining Schedule
Miami
@ Pittsburgh
@ Chicago
Buffalo
They are currently 9-3. If they lose out and we win out, they will be 9-7, we will be 10-6. Indianapolis and San Diego are technically ahead of us (I'm not worried about Oakland). I believe SD or KC will blow it somehow, and Indy will take the division from Jacksonville, so that will put us first in line to take the spot from New York.
If NY loses 3 out of their last 4, beating Buffalo, they will have a conference record of 8-4, and a division record of 4-2.
If Miami wins out, they will be 10-6, have a conference record of 7-5, and a division record of 4-2.
If that scenario occurs, we will be out, and NY will make the playoffs.
If NY loses 3 out of their last 4, we want that win to be against Chicago because it is not a conference game. If they lose to Buffalo, Miami, and Pittsburgh, and we win out, we will have the advantage in division record, putting us in the playoffs.
A win last week would have been huge, because it would have given Miami a better conference record and we would get it in either way if NY lost 3 of 4.
As you can see, a lot has to happen in order to make the playoffs. Even then, everything I just posted can only happen if that Colts start winning and JAX goes on a slump (or vice versa), and either KC or SD collapses.
The simplest thing that can happen is if NY loses out, we win out, and hope that JAX collapses (which is highly possible) and hope that one of the AFC West team falls off (also highly possible).
It's very complicated at this point, but all Miami can do is win. They cannot control their own destiny, but they can help steer it by winning.
Who knows what will happen, it's a crazy league.
