Are we that far away?

The audacity of some fans thinking this team is close
Anyone remember the two azz whoopings New England dropped on us
41-14
38-7
Baltimore showed us how close we are...26-10
Chicago showed us how close we are...16-0
Then we decided to self destruct against the worst teams in the NFL
losing to Buffalo,Cleveland,Detroit who have combined records of 15-33

This team has shown signs but very few and far between
As for being close, if you mean close to Buffalo ,your right.

Those were all Parcells fault though but dont worry we signed an OC that couldnt get his team to 20 points the last 5 games of the season so its all good now.

The mark of a good team-- of a playoff team-- isn't the ability to "keep it close" against the better teams. The mark of a good team is the ability to dominate the lesser competition. The Dolphins aren't even close to that level. Our two wins to start the season were squeakers and neither Buffalo or the Vikings were good teams. We kept it close in most of our games against playoff-caliber opponents and yet only won twice (against the Jets and the decimated Packers in another squeaker). The truest gauge of the Dolphins as a team is the fact that they not only failed to dominate against the Browns, Bills, and Lions at home, but that they couldn't win those games at all.

don't forget that the same browns team OC'd by this horrible dude, beat new england... something we couldn't do in TWO trys this year.

and how on earth anybody thinks its acceptable to use the chicago game as a barmoter of where we are at... with a third stringer starting at

ANY GIVEN DAY ANY TEAM CAN WIN , u have to look at they did over season as a whole thats why they play a full season. Upsets happen but what did Cleveland do over the course of a season. We beat the Jets but we lost to the Bills, Lions and Browns so we only judge ourself by the Jets win of course not. Overall his team was 31st in scoring

what about beating the Jets in New York. The same Jets playing today in the AFC Championship game. Beating the Packers in Green Bay. Only losing to the Steelers because the Refs blew the call at the end of the game. For every negative point, there is a positive that counteracts it. This team is close to getting back into playoff contention.

overall his team beat the patriots and we lost to them twice.

any given day any OC can have a good game plan.

overall he doesn't have any talent.

hillis... maybe, lets see what next year brings. he was solid for A year.
cribbs... about as overrated as they come, and as a WR.... worse
massaquoi.... who?
delhomme.... laughable.

the best player on their team is a left tackle...

we def have more weapons from a throwing standpoint.
hillis IMo is probably a stud,
we have inconsistent qb play to say the least.

I think offensively we have more weapons to utilize than the browns... thus I have hope for daboll.

It's all about consistency and balance.

Yes we have a solid Defense, but as a whole, is the team good enough to win when it should? Nay.

Wanny's teams had a solid D all those years with a sub par Offense. Didn't do us any good then and it won't now.

It's out of balance, Special teams and Offense is way out of wack. We are very far from the promised land.
