There is no denying that right now is one of the darkest moments in the history of the Dolphins franchise. I am not talking just about bullygate, but the last 10 plus years.

1. One playoff appearance in the last 12 seasons.

2. Star player in Ricky Williams quiting on the eve of training camp.

3. Choosing Culpepper over Bress. Culpepper plays one year with Miami and is now out of the league. Brees is still with the Saints, putting up big numbers and won a Super Bowl title(on the Dolphins home field).

4. Big name head coach in Nick Saban quitting to return to college football.

5. 1-15 season

6. GM asks inappropriate questions of a draft prospect

7. Owner tries to hire a new head coach in a public manor while still employing a head coach. After being turned down is forced to give head coach he was trying to replace an extension.

8. Jeff Fisher turns down Dolphins

9. Peyton Manning turns down Dolphins

10. Multiple GM candidates turn down Dolphins

11. Bullygate becomes a national story and the team is facing league punishment and could lose draft picks

12. Empty stadium and a failed push to make stadium upgrades

Has any team had it worse the past 10 plus years from bizarre things happening, to negative national stories and no winning on the field? A team like Buffalo or Oakland don't win either but they do so without all the scandals and blunders that the Dolphins do. So my question is to all Dolphins fans are any of you still proud to call yourself a Dolphins fan? Do you still wear your Dolphins shirts and jerseys? Do you still put on your Dolphins hat when going out? Or do you try and hide from others that you like the Dolphins?

Nothing like living in the past.Try looking forward, not back...

The pride I feel from being a Fins fan was instilled in me a long time ago and it's not going anywhere. I'll always be proud because of men like Shula, Marino, the '72 team, even modern players like Zach and JT. It's been a rough millennium for us. I'm still proud which is why all this **** these incompetent ****ers at the top have been shoveling on my beloved franchise hurts so much.

1) nobody is good every year. When Brady retires you will see a similar thing from NE. Indy was a lucky team that the best QB happen to come out as they were replacing theirs.
2) idk that story so no opinion
3) Brees has said he chose NO because he wanted to help revive the city after Katrina
4) Nick Saban prefers the college game and if that wasnt true he would be back in the nfl by now
5) Ya that was a down note for sure
6) Everybody is critical of a GM when he can find a problem in a guy that appears 2 or 3 years down the road but are just as critical when he asks tough questions
7) Same as #2
8) Same as #2,7
9)Manning was never gonna go to a division where he knew there would be top notch competition. He was in Indy when ther were the only good team every year. He went to Denver so he could rule that division too. He wanted nothing to do with having to play Brady twice a year.
10) Owner liked the coah and GM's like their own coach, See the jets last year. It was the same situation
11) Way overblown then it should be. One 30 year old guy hurt a 25 year old guys feeling... Really?
12) Same as #2,7,8

So yes i am pround to be a Phin Phan!

Of course I'm proud and wear my gear all the time.
If you're hiding the fact you follow the Dolphins, you are a poor excuse for a fan.
maybe it's time to find another team and don't let the door hit ya

i feel like everything to do with this team-the owner, the coach, the players, is a joke. the mystique and respect don shula built for this once very proud organization is LONG gone. ive never felt so apathetic towards this team. not embarrassed just disgusted.

Still proud and I have my Dolphins hat on right now as I head out to play 18 holes.

Yes, but mainly I think because I am old enough to remember when this franchise was an elite franchise. Old enough to remember undefeated and 5 Superbowl appearances. Old enough to have had big Griese & Csonka posters on my bedroom walls as a kid. Don Shula and all the winning right up until he left.

I wonder how the younger fans can be proud of anything? At this point to even remember Marino in his prime in the middle 80's you have to be at least 40...and even those teams failed to win the Superbowl.

I was extremely proud of this team when I was younger, the first 15 years of my Dolphin fanhood saw all five Superbowl appearances and I expected it to continue.

The last 14 years have been a nightmare and tested my true fanhood.

Hell yeah! I'll be a Dolphins fan for life. I was here through 1-15 and Cam Cameron, what's a little Bullygate?

I'm not sure if this team is under the curse of Shula for forcing him out, or the curse of Marino for forcing him out....but it just seems like the "gang that can't shoot straight" ever since.
