Yes. My only complaint, and it's a major one, is that I haven't felt excited for the team's chances in a long time.

I dont know about hiding but ya it's a shame. I just want my team to be elite once again and can't get there:( so sad

There is no denying that right now is one of the darkest moments in the history of the Dolphins franchise. I am not talking just about bullygate, but the last 10 plus years.

1. One playoff appearance in the last 12 seasons.

2. Star player in Ricky Williams quiting on the eve of training camp.

3. Choosing Culpepper over Bress. Culpepper plays one year with Miami and is now out of the league. Brees is still with the Saints, putting up big numbers and won a Super Bowl title(on the Dolphins home field).

4. Big name head coach in Nick Saban quitting to return to college football.

5. 1-15 season

6. GM asks inappropriate questions of a draft prospect

7. Owner tries to hire a new head coach in a public manor while still employing a head coach. After being turned down is forced to give head coach he was trying to replace an extension.

8. Jeff Fisher turns down Dolphins

9. Peyton Manning turns down Dolphins

10. Multiple GM candidates turn down Dolphins

11. Bullygate becomes a national story and the team is facing league punishment and could lose draft picks

12. Empty stadium and a failed push to make stadium upgrades

Has any team had it worse the past 10 plus years from bizarre things happening, to negative national stories and no winning on the field? A team like Buffalo or Oakland don't win either but they do so without all the scandals and blunders that the Dolphins do. So my question is to all Dolphins fans are any of you still proud to call yourself a Dolphins fan? Do you still wear your Dolphins shirts and jerseys? Do you still put on your Dolphins hat when going out? Or do you try and hide from others that you like the Dolphins?

Maybe you should cheer for the seahawks, seminols, heat, Brasil soccer team, all blacks in rugby, skywalker, frodo, neo.... And every one else.
And this is not bullying ok?

I'm not "proud" to be a fan of any team I root for. It's just for fun, although I admit I take it a lot more seriously than I should. When you strip it all away, we're spending much of our time and disposable income watching a bunch of people we don't know playing a game. And most of the people that we root for change from year to year.

Or as Jerry Seinfeld said, we're just rooting for the laundry.

On the list of things I have done in life to be ashamed of, being a Dolphins fan is at the very bottom of the list.

I can never be proud of stupidity. The franchise reeks of it, and has for the last (I would argue) 25+ years.

If we have made good faith, well-thought out decisions from top to bottom and things simply did not work out - I would have no problem defending the team. The true fans deserve an organization they can feel proud of.

Always proud to bleed aqua and orange. Just embarrassed to claim Ross as our owner.

Hell yeah, I've been a fan since I can remember and have never even considered rooting for another team.

I have no problem wearing Dolphins gear...in season, off-season, during the good times and the bad. Yes it mean a lot of heart break, but it will also be that much more enjoyable when they do win the Super Bowl.

I just got out of the battered dolfan shelter, and there is TD swearing that he'll never do it again...he tells me he loves me and wants me back...I tell him I don't want to watch the fins any more, they make me hurt too much, they make me a person I don't want to be...I tell him I'm going to watch the Giants with my dad from now on (he just got out of the battered dolphin shelter to and chose to go back to the GMen who he was a fan of as a kid in Brooklyn, the dolphins have made him into a raging alcoholic and all he can repeat any more is "They suck")...

TD comes up to me and tries to give me a hug, and I pull away but he catches my arm...he wont let me go...I think about all the good times we had, and he reminds me its all Jim Kelly and Tom Brady's fault...

I just can't quit the Dolphins...

Are you still a Fins Fan? Heck, Yeah!
Are you still proud to be a Fins Fan? Heck, No!

Time for the Fins to become great again, to bring the Proud part back to this equation!

im 30 years old and don't remember the 72'73 team and barely remember the 80's Marino and fondly remember the 90's

ever since the 2000' we have been laughing stocks and it seems like Im the only one that screams my fandom from the rooftop regardless of what goes on

but I'm STILL PROUD to be a fan

How can you be on a forum about our team (EVERY DAY)and not be somewhat proud? That doesn't make sense....and makes me worry about some of you.

Always Have been and Always will be proud to support my team!!
( waiting for pre-season to negotiate with my favorite bar a place for Dolphin Fans to go in the DFW area )

I even have Fins Zubas.......I would take this Bully story every year as long as we didn't suck, that 1-15 season was rough
