I used to live in Buffalo growing up and I sure noticed that the sports writers had a passion for the team and as a reader I would love to feel that from a Dolphins fan's
view reading the sun-sentinel or herald......I look at the articles from the sentinel and that is very seldom due to the fact the writers are so critical.Like Miami having one of the best drafts on paper in years and the only article EJS can write about is saban using the word"war" as his topic! Come on! Sensative sports writer? Geeezzzz.

I don't know. I kind of felt the same way, but the "casual" use of it seems to be going a bit more mainstream. I point this out ot because I agree but as a student of the evolution of language.

I dont care if these guys are fans or not. I dont care if they write both positive and negative. That's all good. But when they are out in public cheering against the team and making comments that show enjoyment when we fall short, thats unprofessional. I also think when they use their articles to cause problems for the team that its also unprofessional. Report news, dont make news. These goons are and have been on the warpath.
