ARTICLE: Andre Johnson trade to Dolphins makes the most sense

Mark it..He's going to the Patriots for a 6th round pick!

I love his physicality and size. but he is older and on the down swing of his career. depends on the price I guess

odds are very good that's where he ends up...if he gets his choice that's where also...and while it's true he's becoming more nicked up and not quite the same force he was in the past the pats are looking for a short term fix to a big problem and you can bet brady will get whatever he's got left in the tank...which in that offense will be plenty

Lol makes the most sense? Guy wants to play for a title - not doing that here.

I agree, the only ties he has to Miami (as big as they are) is that it's his hometown, and where he played his collegiate career with the U. I wouldn't completely rule Miami out just based off that alone, but it definitely is not likely.

I would be in the game for him to ensure he doesn't end up elsewhere too cheaply...namely our biggest rival currently for the division.

If the Patsies do get him lets make them pay well to get him.

Would definitley would be interesting but we all know how this ends....to the Pats for 2 7th round picks lol

We are pretty well loaded at WR and don't need him in any trade. He will be staying in Houston.

Yep, you gotta figure he wants to go to an immediate contender. Even, without a bonafide #1 the Patriots have still managed to dominate the division. If he goes anywhere it's very likely there.

The issue for the Texans is that Stevie Johnson just netted the Bills a 4th. Stevie obviously isn't on Andre's tier, but he's a very good WR, and he's suffered through terrible QB play. Oh, and he's five years younger than Andre. Also, Stevie Johnson's contract is MUCH more attractive. Both players are UFA's in 2017. Stevie Johnson's cap hit 214-216: $3,925,000, $6,025,000, $6,125,000. He turns 28 this year, so he should have 2-4 more years where age shouldn't limit his production. Andre Johnson's cap hit for the same years: $14,644, 583, $16,144,583, $14,675,000. Andre Johnson turned 33 on July 11th.

So, yeah, if you're the Patriots, and you think Andre Johnson still has enough to get you over the top, you should have some interest, but he's really not worth trading for Houston. I'm thinking fifth or sixth round compensation.

If he does we can look forward to Finnegan vs andre round 2. This time its personal!

I'm wondering where he would fit in I mean he is defintley a 1 option but the possibilities are intriguing but i know that it wont happen. Plus knowing our luck he will come over and be injured in pre- season or some **** lol

Which is why we should offer more to ensure they don't get him too cheaply.
Bothers me is Bill O'Brien is there so he would have no qualms about helping the other Bill.
