9. Ted Ginn Jr. (Miami Dolphins) arrived at camp to boos from Dolfans. Talk is still going on about why the Dolphins didn't get Brady Quinn, even from several Dolphins players. Despite all that, Cam Cameron has said his rookie receiver has been all he expected and then some. The only concern that was seen was his route running, but that was a problem NFL scouts new the receiver had coming out of college. Randy Moss had the same issue when he came out of Marshall, but was able to use his speed and talent to overcome the issue until he learned the skill.

The author has them ordered by their draft position, so you'll see Quinn listed at #22. It's intriguing that he mentioned Moss' name in comparing the two WRs as NFL rookies.

Good link, I wish I knew where he says he's getting all of this informayion from.

lol...they spend the entire ginn piece talking bout how we failed to get Quinn, and then they spend the whole quinn part talking bout how he hasn't been all that great. What a a tool...

Kinda reminds me of Kiper when the Fins were on the clock, calling Quinn overrated and such, then having an adolescent fit when we took Ginn.

I don't know, it is probably me but when I see a professional article using the word new instead of the word knew I picture a 13 year old in his room doing the writing. That’s basic elementary English.

Why did Dolfans boo him? Even if it was a bad draft pick (which I feel it wasn't) it wasn't Ginn's fault. My guess is he will turn the naysayers around in a hurry.

I know i'm going to get blasted for this as negative but Moss being deficeint at route running does not affect him as much because he six foot four, has a vertical of 40 inches and is just as fast as Ginn. this creates a huge disadvantage to most CBs. Moss averaged like 19 yards a catch and 25 tds a game over his final two collge seasons. I think Ginn is good prospect but he does not have the advantage of freakish size and speed that can overcome bad route running. Moss is a freak of nature and when he is at his best he can almsot be unstoppable. I see alot of moss in chambers although inconsistent and has not dominated like Moss. Chamber is not as tall but his leaping ability may be the best in the NFL recording a 44.5 vertical jump.

I wasn't in agreement with the Ginn pick at first, but, from everything I have read he is faster than Randy Moss ever was. He appears to have a deceptive speed and just glides past people when you see him on film. Much the way Deion Sanders used to.
I'm not going to blast you for your post, but is it just me or have you ever posted anything positive on this site?

Ditto on Ginn being faster than Moss and in the Deion class; one thing Ginn appears to have is great work ehtic and is coachable; so with his talent it will be intersting to see where his ceiling is when coached up

How many rookie receivers come into this league and don't have issues to work on? Poor route running is extremely common with rookie receivers. The fact that Ginn has a good attitude and a strong work ethic will go a long way in helping him become an explosive NFL receiver. It may take a few years (as it did for many other great receivers) but I believe it will happen- with one caveat- if his 172 pound body can pull a Timex: takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Look, I hope Ginn has a great season, but comparing him to Randy Moss is just plain stupid. I mean, Moss is 6'4 and can out jump well, everyone. He has the size and speed where he doesn't really have to run good routes. He never had to worry about getting off the line of scrimage. Ginn doesn't have the luxury of Randy's size. Now, if he had compared him to Steve Smith, that would've been flattering, but at least similar type of potential. It's a silly thing really, but I couldn't help pointing out how dumb a comparison it is...

Ginn compared to Randy Moss? Please are you kidding me?
