As bad as Fins fans can be, at least it is not as bad as Marlins fans

That's Baseball it's crap...............

Well what do you expect? The Marlins blow! They are on a 6 game losing streak and in June mailed it in losing around 20 games in a row, if I'm not mistaken. I don't know why these guys got a new ball park when they are fielding a terrible product... If the Fins keep up this trend, expect the stadium to look similar...

Stop the garbage with 40% oppossing fanbase at the games. I've been to plenty to see that isn't even close. You get more Jets/Pats, but really..? That much? No. Have you even had a chance to go to a game?
I can't explain the Marlin situation. I hate baseball.
I go to a game every year my friend. Jets, Patriots? Try teams like the Saints and Bears also. 40% is probably the maximum for some games, but you are naive if you don't see the problem.

Marlins organization doesn't earn or deserve any fans. Worst owner in baseball. Stole tax payer dollars to pay for new stadium. Before owners messed with team, marlins games had great turnouts (1993-1997). After '97, Miami felt cheated and marlins lost their fan base.

So, you base this off of one game a year? Fantastic. I was going to games there for a good 5-6 years before it just became redundant (losing, too much money being spent on the losing). I'll give you 20%..just because you see clusters of 100 people here and there doesn't mean it translates into 30k+ which is what you're more or less saying considering the attendance is give or take anywhere from 65-68k, factor in the empty spots because we haven't been very good, so I'd say somewhere in the mid 60's (believe we seat around 75k?). It's been a good 4 years or so since I've been though..regardless..I have a hard time believing 40%.

Whoever said that Marlins fans = Dolphins fans is off base I'd say as well. You can just look at this board member's and their sigs to see that's off base (Yeah, JCane..who always seems upbeat). I think we can all agree though most of us are quite happy these ****ers are moving either way.

Last year that stadium definitely had more than 40% Steeler fans lol. Just saying.

And I think Marlins fans = Dolphins fans is pretty accurate. I'd say the majority of Marlins fans ARE Dolphins fans but that doesn't mean that the majority of Dolphins fans are Marlins fans. See what I'm saying?

And yeah, I'm definitely happy the Marlins are moving out. Someone in this city needs a real stadium and at this point I don't really care who it is. Dolphins and Hurricanes should still keep the dirt though.

Problem? What's the problem? They're permitted to buy tix too? Maybe when they enforce some Florida border patrol so the northerners can't move here the "problem will be solved."

I've also been to many home games, I've never seen the 40% numbers your talking about. That's not even close for Jets fans. More like 20-25% maximum, from what I've ever seen. And that only applies to north eastern teams, and high profile(popular) teams like the Cowboys/Steelers etc.

Jets fans "pretend" like they own our house. They talk about it a lot, but come game time, they're lucky if they make up 1/4 of the stadium.

If you go to Jets fan boards they say **** like "there's gonna be a green out in Miami." Lol yeah right, I've been to 3 different Dolphins/Jets games, it was nothing like that. Sure there are a lot of them compared to what the average stadium gets, but nothing like what they claim.

Florida border patrol...

I LOVE THIS IDEA!!!

Florida should succeed from the United States and become a whole new country.

Marlins, like the Dolphins, can't win at home. Marlins are something like 16 games under .500 at home and have a winning record on the road...like the Dolphins.

Nevertheless, Jeffrey Loria is the worst owner in the history of sports. He fires good managers because he expects them to win with minimal budget teams. Look how well Girardi is doing with the Yankees or Gonzalez is doing with Atlanta. That's why I can't understand how everyone thinks Ross, and Wayne H. before him, are such terrible owners. These two guys forked up some money for good players. They just haven't been able to get the right personnel in the front office and head coach yet.

while, yes, it is very embarrassing for Marlins fans, your comparison is rather crappy. You're comparing a sport that and team that has only 8 home games and has been in this town much longer (larger fan base) vs. one that has 81 home games (the one pictured in OP being of a make-up game that was not originally scheduled, hence lower than usual attendance). Considering this issue, it tends to skew perception a bit.

I lol more at Heat fans last year during regular season home games later in the season. Those turnouts for that "dream team" was comparatively pretty awful.

Heat sold out every single game.
