As bad as Fins fans can be, at least it is not as bad as Marlins fans

That's what happens when your owner is a money tight crook that refuses to bring depth to a team. If they stay healthy, they're competitive, but it's a long season and injuries occur. When the injuries occur, nobody can step in to fill their shoes. That is why the are in the free fall they are in.

nothing to see here. they dont' have any fans.
They have fans. Just not ones that are willing to spend their hard earned money to watch **** for a team. Also, having an owner that basically tells his fans FU anytime suggestions are made about stadium, team, and uniform improvement. He's an art dealer, he knows what he's doing...right...he is gaying that stadium up the best way he can.

while, yes, it is very embarrassing for Marlins fans, your comparison is rather crappy. You're comparing a sport that and team that has only 8 home games and has been in this town much longer (larger fan base) vs. one that has 81 home games (the one pictured in OP being of a make-up game that was not originally scheduled, hence lower than usual attendance). Considering this issue, it tends to skew perception a bit.

I lol more at Heat fans last year during regular season home games later in the season. Those turnouts for that "dream team" was comparatively pretty awful.

fail ONE

http://espn.go.com/nba/attendance Heat have perfect home attendance.

fail TWO

http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeozanian/2011/01/26/the-nbas-most-valuable-teams-2/ Heat are currently the 7th most valuable NBA franchise.

nothing to see here. they dont' have any fans.

They definitely have fans, and they are regularly rated well in TV and radio rankings . . . but yea its just a different monster down here and though the location of the stadium is convenient for Broward/Palm Beach fans, it sucks for Miami-Dade fans. Plus, its just too damn big for a regular season baseball team that has been hit with injuries and is out of playoff competition.

I'm expecting them to show much better next year down at the OB site.

I can't really defend attendance. I try to make it to 1-2 Dolphins games a year, it's all I can afford. There are lots of Dolphins' fans here in Miami that are worst off than me unfortunately so they just settle with TV or even radio. Even though the stadium isn't filled, when we're winning/in a good situation (like when Pennington was the man here), it is always a fun atmosphere in Sun Life despite the low attendance. I'm not going to sit here and nag people who don't show up, it's their choice and I don't know what they're going through financially.

Heat sold out every single game.

That doesn't mean everyone who bought a ticket showed up. Half the people that bought season tickets wanted just to turn a profit, not actually attend.

But as youve already seen, any idiot can go to espn.com and pull up a chart that shows attendance percentages exceeding 100 and claim that its actual attendance.

Well even the Super Bowl doesn't reach capacity. Not everyone who has a ticket makes it to the game. But the majority of the AAA was full last season....after the first quarter.

Chill out.

This I can't figure out..

We definetely need a more "Miami" like location for our stadium. It's not exactly a nice drive on the way there.
I really don't understand this argument. I go to Turner Field all the time to Braves games. Their stadium is a block from a part of town that the cops won't go to. This has no effect on the turn out at the games. From what I remember, Jacksonville wasn't a country club either. The only one I've been to, which granted, isn't that many, but Nashville is a nice area. The Titan have a really nice set up.

Fail three: you dont know the difference between paid attendance and actual attendance.

Watch passed the first quarter once or twice. I still find it amusing people think the Heat don't sell out because the fans show up late. Heat season tix have sold out well in advance for like the last 5 years or so.

That is flat out embarrassing. That team has won two World Series in fifteen years and fans can't even get their ***** out to see them. They sure as hell better get out for them when the Miami stadium is finished.

That was a nice day for a game too
this is not a baseball town its more of a soccer town than anything..

The 2 billion dollar stadium was a big ripoff to the voters
and all the commissioners that voted for the tax hike to fund it should be thrown out!
