Hey Boomer,
What do you make of this?

This is SUNY Albany NY about 10 minutes from where I work. I never would have thought a player from a suny would even get a look. Maybe I should start going to their games.

FOOTBALL’S KURT CAMPBELL WILL PLAY IN LAS VEGAS ALL-AMERICAN CLASSIC

Albany, N.Y. – University at Albany’s Kurt Campbell has been selected to play in the Las Vegas All-American Classic, an all-star game for graduating seniors. The game, which will feature 110 student-athletes divided into East and West teams, is in its second year at UNLV’s Sam Boyd Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, January 22, 2005.

Campbell, a 6-foot-1, 225-pound roverback from Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., made 34 tackles, including 2.5 for losses, plus added three pass deflections and one fumble recovery in 10 games played in 2004.

Campbell, one of four captains on this year’s UAlbany team, earned his fourth varsity letter this season. He finished his collegiate career with 120 tackles and 19 pass break-ups. Campbell is the first Great Dane to appear in a postseason all-star game since offensive tackle J.T. Herfurth played in the 2000 Hula Bowl.

The Las Vegas All-American Classic, previously known as the Paradise Bowl, will include a NFL-type skills and measurement combine for professional scouts in attendance. The all-star contest will be aired on Fox Sports Net. More television information will be released as it becomes available.

Have to see that I have never seen Albany play, suffice to say that it's pleasing to see that the coaching staff are being as diligent with the guys from Albany and Kutztown State as they are with the guys at USC and FSU.

I'm going nuts with my 14 year-old boy, I want to kill him sometimes!! Boy, he is me!!

My 10 year-old daughter likes boys and talks about dating already!

I'm getting ready to lockup my 6 year-old daughter, I want her to stay young!

Hey Boomer, what do you think about Ben Wilkerson and his injury. Also, what do you think are the odd's that Saban will draft him in the 3rd or 4th round. Good luck with your new baby, thanks.

I would like to know exactly what stage he is at in terms of rehab. I like him, but i sometimes wonder whether he is better suited to being a finesse college lineman. At times I wonder whether he is forceful enough. I remember watching Jeff Faine a few years ago vs FSU and just devouring people snap after snap and as much as I like Ben I'm not sure he has that in him and whether his style suits what we are doing offensively. I much prefer Chris Spencer, but he will probably go 20-40.

As for us drafting him, we shall see. Depends on the plans for McKinney and whether they feel Hadnot can do a job.

Thanks re: baby.

what do you think about Kyle Orton? What round do think he go? Who will pick him? sorry if you already answer this you have to many post to read threw.

Probably later. Maybe even 2/3 days before the draft if at all. Like I said to Surf, they are fools gold. :)

I'd prefer to see your top ten at each position, although that's probably a lot more time-consuming.

On to a much more important question: Boomer, what is your favorite bitter?

If I get time I'll knock out a top 10. As for favourite bitter, I don't do bitter....lager. I prefer German lager or Corona which is my absolute fave.

10. Me.

Boomer I dont know if anybody has brought this up yet or not. I havent read all 794 posts. Do you think Saban is trying to bring back Ricky and Boston so he can pick a QB with #2 and have an instant offense? If Ricky could come back and be half the back he used to be and Boston shows signs of his old self we really could be a contender with a good QB. Whether it be Feeley or Smith/Rodgers. Look at the weapons linehan would have with our backfield and receiving corp. Our defense has really been upgraded on the run stopping front and we could really be a contender. Just a thought, what do you think? This could all be done relatively cheap with the way Saban is signing people and the past of two the mentioned.
