Jon Embree is joining Mike McDaniel's staff with the #Dolphins as their assistant head coach and TEs coach, per source. Embree had the same role with the #49ers for the past five seasons.

Good first hire. Coached a lot of great TEs, and guys that had the best year of their careers under his tutelage.

Just to rattle off some names. Gonzalez, Kittle, Jordan Cameron had the best year of his career, same with Cameron Brate.

Remember Kyle Shanahan made him Assistant Head Coach, I don't think he did that for no reason whatsoever. This is a great first hire for McDaniel.

Gesicki went 5 receptions for 91 yards against 49ers last year IN SF. Don’t think that McD and Embree wouldn’t have noticed.

Great hire and maybe I'm looking into this too much but by giving the Asst. Head Coach title away to Embree I hope it doesn't mean we lose out on Fangio.
