Athlon MAgazine says......

That prediction is so unrealistic that it de-legitimizes the magazine.

Actually the Magazine is quite good, and usually isn't off by much. But in this case I think they completely missed the boat.

Every year there are always 2-3 teams that exceed expectations (predictions) and at least 2-3 teams that do poorer than predicted. Nobody predicted the Chargers would win as many as they did. NOBODY
Nobody predicted the Carolina Panthers in the SB 2 years ago either.

Are you sure you're 17? You post like you're older than Dominizzo.

Coorection, it was Flutie and OJ , Rob Johnson and Thurman.

Thanks for the compliment, I thought Kelly played with Thurman Wasnt Kelly drafted in 83?

Buffalo " hurricane willis" Bills ? jua jua jua

Willis is in my fantasy team, but Buffalo must keep drafting hurricanes if they wanna win one playoff game some day.

who cares what those mag phags say. theyre opinionis based on their pay...or weel their pay is based on what they say..err write..its all B S...football is football...like berman says....thats why we play the games.....f all those bulishting publications./......

What's funny is alot of Dolphins fans can't accept the fact that the only reason they disagree with the sportswriters is because they are loyal to their favorite team. Don't kid yourselves, it could be a fantastic season, it could be a bad season.....the fact remains we are one giant question mark, just due to the regime change, new players, and new systems.

Nothing could be worse than the bizarro world of last season.

I just dont get it. Are these people even looking at our roster? Can not wait until the season starts. I really get mad when we get no respect.

They are probably going by the old learning the new system takes time idea. That will cause some trouble, but no way will we only win 3. ^ would be the LEAST I would expect, and you gotta think we got another 1 or 2 wins in there. Bills win 11 with Loseman? Nope. If all goes well and he is the QB of the future they may win 9 or 10 if MaGahee runs like a madman and EVERYTHING goes right for them. C'mon. Was the writer from Buffalo or something?

Nope.........way to many extremes ocurred. I just think it's really immature to get all bent out of shape from what the magazines are saying. I give more credit to writers for being unbiased, then alot of my fellow Fin fans. It's their jobs to be unbiased. As for Dolphin fans, it's our jobs to back the team and at times that can have an effect on our perception of our team.

Real Simple.......Go to Vegas and bet $5000 on Miami winning over 5.5 games and laugh your way to the bank and at the Predictors!

Well, I bet 1/10 that much over 5 flat at even money at the Venetian sportsbook in early May. Obviously I should have speculated a much greater sum, since now at 5.5 over -1.68 it's a scalp plus a free shot at landing on exactly 5.

But it's tough to tie up dimes for 7 months. I only do that if it's an outrageous error. This was a slighty bad line, not a ridiculous error. An example of an outrageous error would be in late '96 when the Boardwalk sportsbook put up a proposition on whether Tiger Woods would win a PGA tour event in 1997. That was unreal. Plus the odds were only -120 (120 to win 100) on the yes. Tiger joined the tour in September '96 and had already dominated. He won 2 tournaments with several other top finishes. Now you were just asking him to win a single event in a full schedule in '97.

Not exactly a sweat. Tiger won the opening event, the Mercedes Championship in early January. That was sweet, collecting after one week.

Here is a link to the NFL over/unders according to Pinnacle offshore sportsbook, one of the most respected and reliable. But you won't find blatant mistakes there. We are 5.5 over -1.68, with the under +1.50.

Christ, we won 3 games under Bates. We're gonna win just as many under Saban with better personnel from the waterboy all the way up to the GM? Come on man....

can i say, for the record right now, that i think JP is going to a good NFL quarterback... he worries me quite a bit

I'm not so worried about him as a rookie. He should not be the next Rothlesberger. I could be wrong I suppose. I don't know. I wouldn't turn him away from our team if he were homeless right now because I hear good and bad things and the bad mostly comes from here (and we want him to suck!). But won't he need time like most other QB's, even with McGahee running and solid defense?
