bad news??

none of this matters to me. look at SD's recent past. sucking early then fighting 4 their playoff lives. they will win because they desire to.

Not worried about it, SD is a good team and would like nothing better than to beat KC just like they did to Denver even if they are playing for nothing by game time.....to be honest I am more concerned with Jets....they are treating this as there super bowl and rex going away game, we will get there best on Sunday

That is what I thought. OP is over reacting.

He's not overreacting. If we win and the Ravens win at 1:00, we are outta the playoffs UNLESS the Chargers can beat the Chiefs at 4:00.

Playing the Chiefs backups woulda been easer for the Chargers. Now they'll have to go up against one of the top AFC teams while also knowing they are already eliminated from the playoffs.

Oh well! Our Dolphins should have handled their business. So that whatever other teams do doesn't matter.

This x1000 you can't complain when a team has its destiny in its hands and gets their ass whipped by a below average division rival. That said, they just need to beat the Jets, after that whatever happens happens

Who cares, if you have to wish for other teams to not even try, then the win means very little.

Even if the Chiefs go with their starters, I am not convinced they can beat the Chargers in San Diego.

Agreed, once the Chargers get a 10 point lead the Chiefs will pull the starters that need rest.Mostly on defense.Chargers are gonna run away with this one.

This was just posted on rotoworld. Thought I'd share it.

Knile Davis - RB - Chiefs
The Kansas City Star expects the Chiefs to treat Sunday's Week 17 game against the Chargers as a preseason finale.
The 11-4 Chiefs are locked into the AFC's fifth seed, rendering this week's game meaningless. When coach Andy Reid was in this situation in Philly, he typically gave the starters a series or two and then turned the game over to the backups. Owners playing into Week 17 can not use Alex Smith, Jamaal Charles or Dwayne Bowe. Rookie running back Knile Davis makes for an intriguing plug-n-play as he's got plenty of juice in his legs and projects to play a feature back role for at least three quarters.

If they sit Alex Smith, pray to whatever deity you believe in that they play Tyler Bray because that almost guarantees a loss for KC.

Baltimore has been very lucky winning close games to get into this position before getting flattened by the Patriots. I do not think they are a very good team right now and Cincinnati just looks younger, fresher and hungrier - pus the game is in Cincinnati. I expect the Bengals to beat the Ravens in a rout.

The Chiefs are a very good team, disciplined, and well coached. They rarely beat themselves. They will not flop and lay down for the Chargers. I believe they will treat this game as a 3rd preseason game. If the Chargers can weather the first half and the beginning of the 3rd quarter, they will win. That said, I think it will be a close game that will have us hanging onto our seats until the end. Charger's win.

Andy Reid is not one to rest players.

I don't really know, as I haven't followed any Andy Reid teams, but all I've been reading is he says that he's rested players in the past and it's worked out for him. I think they do rest their starters, early
