Anything below the 4th seed is backing in IMO.

Right now we're 7th aren't we?? Even if we win out, the best we can hope for is 6th. I'm not sure about you, but that's what I call backing in. Also, anytime you rely on other teams to lose in order to reach the playoffs, I consider that backing in as well.....

The last balanced team that won the SB was Denver in 1998. But I believe the league changed after that year,and since we have seen unbalanced teams win year after year, teams that come out of nowhere to win it all(STL,BAL,NE,TB). When will it be our turn? I dont know, since both our total O and our total D are both ranked below 10.
