Barry Jackson: Players beginning to question the coaches

There comes a point in evaluating our franchise in which some simple questions should be apparent:

1) Why can other players failing here go elsewhere and succeed OR players that have succeeded elsewhere fail here?
2) Why can coaches leave here and find success elsewhere OR why can coaches who found success elsewhere come here and fail?

We do not have a football environment that breeds success in Miami. Our problems start at the top and funnel down to the field.

Philbin put that shield in the locker room cause it's pretty obvious no one in there has his back. Great coordinator but bad coach.

The guy never called a play. Can't say he was a great OC either. Terrible hire.

Grimes didn't think CBs should be covering McKnight, and other players obviously feel Wake and Trusnick shouldn't have to do it. And on the TD Wake actually had safety help. So if you can't cover RBs with CBs, safeties or LBs what options are we left with?

Philbin is absolutely right on the Hartline penalty. There is a gif floating around and it was clearly rehearsed, but the most disturbing part is Tannehill was a member of the "gallery." Tannehill should ****ing know the rules better than that for one thing. And for another thing you should concentrate on practicing your game, not ridiculous TD celebrations. Especially when the offense is still stinking up the joint and we were losing the game.

Even had to take a shot at Tannehill haha

Those situations happen with every team in every game. They are called mismatches and its the goal of every offensive coordinator to exploit them. The successful teams find creative ways to do that. KC burned us on that play, but that wasn't the reason the game was lost.
KC simply wanted/needed this game more than the Phins did.

True and if Jenkns can't go today not sure what defensive scheme were going to be able to dial up today. Major mismatches yet again.

“Steve doesn’t get it,” a club source who is a friend of owner Stephen Ross told me Thursday. “He doesn’t like it. He’s shaking his head. He is not happy right now.” From Greg Cote of the Miami Herald.

Why would Ross be happy?

Its funny that everybody is writing Philbin's tactics off as being the worst possible coaching decision before we even see the result. Everybody claimed "the decision" at the end of the first half would neuter the team but can anybody deny the offense didn't look better coming out of halftime? At least for a quarter anyway.

Getting your teammates to want to play harder, better for you is an intangible. Andrew Luck, Tom Brady, Russell Wilson and Tim Tebow possesses this intangible. Even Knowshon Moreno apparently possesses this intangible. I have seen no evidence whatsoever that the team responds to Ryan Tannehill.

Not good...not even to the bye week and already infighting

Simply terrible leadership. The HC cut his young QB off at the knees. Joe never backed his players publicly. Joe also created a godawful travel plan this week.

Travel plan is fine, IMO. The problem ain't the travel plan. The problem is that the team is unprepared to play every ****ing week.
