Barry Jackson: Solutions for the O-Line and Other Notes

I would look to fill two line spots with FA's. I would not bring back any FA linemen from last year.

Looks like Joe's monotone style does not get football players ready for game...ummm, I cannot imagine why.

If Ross is disappointed in Sherman, why is that not Philbin? How does Philbin get a pass in all of this? I just do not get it.
 
Not getting Albert for what was the pick of Taylor was idiotic. Ireland or his replacement can't screw this up again. Hearing that Ross and Peterson love Philbin is disheartening but not surprising. Ross seems to be out of touch with the players and is loyal to even those who are underachievers. Philbin is not going anywhere and I won't be shocked if Ireland gets another shot at screwing up obtaining Albert.

The same way Ireland got a pass in 2011.
 
I cant go through another year of Ireland and his idiotic line decisions on personnel
 
Next year will be more of the same with the status quo. It becoming easier to a be a casual fan of this team.
 
Well i think its the chance to build this offensive line to be able to run the fast pace no huddle passing offense that the dolphins and all you dolphins fans were screaming for when we had Tony Sparano. I know many were upset this year mainly because of all the drama and wanted a positive reason to forget the Bully gate. But this is exactly where I thought we were going to be before the season started, fight for a playoff spot and fall short. I think many of you seen the potential in this team, but the O-line keep that potential from fulfilling itself. And which is another reason why i think most were extremely frustrated. I will be expecting smaller mobile offensive linemen next year with more catered to pass blocking.
 
Meh the OL options in FA don't really get me excited. We can criticize Ireland for not giving up our second for Albert but I remember many on this board not wanting him to give that pick up.

Albert is kinda old to give up a high pick.Id prefer drafting a LT.

Our owner is clueless unless he makes some significant changes...that's the bottomline. He wants to win which I think everyone should already assume. But he's gutless and clueless as an owner to this point in time. We'll see if he sacs up in the coming days.

Albert is at the top of his game and would have improved the OL greatly. Instead, Ireland opted for an injured CB who made zero contribution to the defense. Of the two, which would have had a greater impact in 2013 in terms of wins?

Making him far more valuable than that 2nd round pick. Locking Albert down for 4 years a year ago would have gone a long way in strengthening the OL and could have been enough to get them to the playoffs. Watch and see if Ireland is retained he'll overpay for Albert this spring. Playing catch up is the norm for him.
 
I can not ****ing understand how Jeff Ireland is still employed.

Ross is a ****ing dunce.
 
anthony collins, roger saffold and either one of chiefs guards asamoah or schwartz [who i liked last year ] wondering how much that combined shopping list would be

$14m a year??
