I think it's not the stats most Phin fans are mad about. It's the fact that Bates doesn't alter his approach to keep the other team guessing.
I hear all the time football is like a chess match between the coaches. It just seems to me Bates plays with the same strategy game after game and just hopes his talent can overcome the other teams talent AND strategy. We need to find ways to confuse QB's and put pressure from spots they aren't expecting sometimes.
I don't think I know it all, nor do I think Bates is bad, I just think he needs more of an imagination and should use the talents of his personnel a little better.
