Ben Tate a Dolphin?

Yeah, there will be plenty to choose from. I'd love to get a big boy like Hyde or Hill here.

Agreed.

I think teams are quickly learning that 1st/2nd round RB's are not worth it unless its the second coming of Adrian Peterson.

Shelf life of RB's just doesnt warrant a high draft pick.

Toss in that almost every team has a 1/2 combo RB scheme.

Draft BPA RB in the 3rd or 4th.

Done.

We've tried this route, it hasn't worked out well. Daniel Thomas, Lamar Miller, Mike Gillislee. All backups at best. And this running back class in this upcoming draft blows after Tre Mason.

Tate is a better option than anything we could get in the draft.

I'd prefer the Browns to use up their cap and eliminate themselves from signing other guys.

Lets focus money on O-Line, LB

i think i don't give a damn what you think about it...frankly...i would just like to get some guys that will actually play on sunday and not be nicked up...

i'm not stupid and i won't be sold a **** sandwich

Ok, what would make hoops happy? This should be fun.

Or you have to be able to catch the ball. With how wide open the NFL is now if a RB can't help in the passing game he's going to plummet. Like guys like Kapri Bibbs and Andrew Williams I think would fit our offense from a running style BUT neither can catch.

He's not THAT injury prone as he's missed 2 games, 5 games and 1 games the past 3 years, but he is a risk like any of these FA RBs. What concerns me more are his almost 1:1 TD to fumble ratio with his limited touches and the fact that he considers himself "an elite RB in the NFL" and that means he's going to expect that type of payday. He fumbles once every 47 carries and that's a big concern to me whereas Lamar has 228 attempts with only 1 fumble and MJD only had 1 in 234 carries last year.

"I think I can bring you an elite running back," Tate told KRIV-TV in Houston on Friday. "I've learned a lot being behind Arian (Foster). Definitely, when I'm healthy I think I'm an elite running back in this league, and I feel like I can show my abilities and my numbers and my play will speak for itself, and guys will be able to see that I am a guy who is a top-five running back in this league, which I believe once I get out there and get to show that on a consistent basis."

Thomas was a 3rd when we should of taken DeMarco Murray

Miller was a 4th and has shown some promise, personally still to early to judge, give him a decent O-line first.

Gillislee 5th rounder and I think everyone knew he was a LONG shot.

No elite RB's this draft but plenty of mid tier types.

If its a 1yr deal or a 2yr deal with not a lot of guaranteed money then I'm all for it. The biggest question on Tate is durability....Just like Mcfadden.....MJD.....CJ2K...and just about ever other RB out there. I'd want MJD over him, but I'd rather have Tate then Mcfadden TBH.

I should also point out that I am a huge Auburn fan haha....He went to school there.

Why are you not helping shill for Tre Mason?

He is the BEST and the ONLY RB worth taking this year.

I am deathly afraid there are Internet shills out there pushing for carlos hyde. I DO NOT WANT THAT GUY.

to me offensive line upgrade and running back are hand in hand. whether through the draft or FA.
the verdict is in on Thomas and jury out on Miller being everydown backs

Thomas is not guilty of being a serviceable NFL player, that's established beyond a reasonable doubt. Backs like thomas play for sub-.500 teams. Need to get a hammer and crack that acorn once and for all.

Tate's fumbles concern me.

On a cheap contract, I'm fine with this. If he gets the kind of money he's been yapping about... no thank you.

RB are a dime a dozen....fix the o-line, find a short yardage guy who has some vision and will fight for yards and call it a day...

I hope you don't mean everyone that wants Hyde is a shill. I think he's a tough runner, which is what we didn't have last year. It's actually been quite a while since we've had a tough runner here. What don't you like about him?
