How the **** are we in negotiations with someone who is changing agents (per other reports). Is he negotiating it himself? Dang, there are so many terrible reports, its getting hard to believe anything.
 
Why in the hell would we sign that clown??? He couldn't beat out Moore if his life depended on it!!! Why are we wasting money on players that don't help the team get better??? Merling, Hicks, Slaton, and Murtha could've easily paid for Winston with money to spare. I think Ireland secretly works for the Jets!!'
 
Smith had an offer on the table for 8mil per yr from SF. Is Ireland going to match that for Smith, I think not. It would be sweet to stick it to Harbaugh and take his QB after Manning chooses the Broncos. But is Smith worth that kind of dough?
 
I feel he can be real solid. He looks like he's improving. I'm not going to claim the season is over in March.
 
Alex Smith just had a better season than anybody we've had in the last decade but CP... just sayin'
